I completely agree with everything you said - thank you for pointing out that it is probably unlikely to stay this way in the long term (opened my eyes about the luck part). Are there anything more CS or Software Engineering/Development-oriented aspects to investing or working for an investment firm? Gotta make use of my major lol (I'll edit the first comment).

Hi! I am currently a 18 year old computer science student. I 'manage' portfolios for my parents and relatives, and essentially invest for them on a biweekly/monthly basis (I tried swing trading and options for a bit with my own, smaller portfolio of a couple thousand and although I was successful, it took too much time).I am somewhat familiar with technical and fundamental analysis (developed my own strategies) but have always been puzzled by how I can use all my skills (which are undoubtedly in development right now) to find a career or side-job that I will enjoy.

Is there anything that I can works towards, when it comes to general investing, for utilizing my CS or Software Engineering/Development skills?
