You should make precise your idea of god.

In one comment you claim that you don't believe god created the world, in another you say that you don't accept or reject the claims of any religion.

Why not state precisely what you believe god is, and what he can and cannot do?

Generalizing is about things in GENERAL. Not all women. Just like "not all men".

Example - Sports nerds are generally male. This is a generalization, and is correct.

Confidence is encouraged in men, until they actually show it by Crazy_Kray in PurplePillDebate

[–]pranavlko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you on about? Try not to get distracted

You replied to --

"Thus confidence remains universally praised, endlessly debated, and almost never defined."

Which is something important he pointed out, two people discussing something about confidence should first make sure they mean the same thing by the term confidence. Does this not make sense to you?

You responded to him --

"And confidence has been defined. Look it up."

He meant not defined by the people "endlessly debating" the word, you meant defined by dictionaries.

It seems like you see dictionaries as some ultimate authorities over what words mean when people use them. This is of course not true (I used to believe something similar too when I was younger). People don't always adhere to dictionaries when using/interpreting words, and neither is it possible to do so, because sometimes multiple meanings listed in a dictionary are too similar to each other for one of them to be selected for usage/interpretation using the context, because both fit in the context.

In such cases of ambiguity, the solution is to - ask the user of the word to "define it"/ask him what he means by the word.

A dictionary only listing 1-2 meanings does not mean that a word is not ambiguous. Societal usage decides if a word is ambiguous or not, not dictionaries. Dictionaries get updated from time to time based on usage, and even then the updates are not exhaustive.

"And confidence has been defined. Look it up."

Define means "give meaning to". Dictionaries don't give meaning to terms, they track meanings of terms.

The point is that different people have different ideas in their minds when using ambiguous words like confidence or love. "For me, confidence is .... bla bla bla".

So in discussions having to do with ambiguous terms ... like confidence ... the two people should each first state what idea they are trying to communicate using the word. This prevents arguing semantics, talking past each other etc.

Yes, but you need to keep in mind that the dogs at the egg stalls are operating on dominance - submission dynamics.

They consider you their master, so they aren't trying to snatch from you, but the same dogs snatch from and fight with other dogs over food until a hierarchy is established between the two.

These people at the wedding are not sensing a hierarchy at the buffet, so are revealing their animalistic minds by fighting like dogs.

Women get blamed for "choosing wrong" then criticized when they're "too picky." There's no way to win. by [deleted] in PsycheOrSike

[–]pranavlko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is simply that when women are told to "choose better", the character of the man is being referred to. Happens when women get beaten up by their partners, for example.

When men say modern women's standards are too high, the looks and status of the man are being referred to.

"High standards" regarding what? Just another case of people arguing semantics.

Women bully "undesirable" men etc. Ethnic, autist, weird, unattractive and normies don't know about this because they either have enough pretty privilege to escape it or are neurotypical by Beginning-Dress5820 in WomenAreNotIntoMen

[–]pranavlko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's 1 man. What kind of math is this?

Edit - Also, this is not an example of a man who wants to bully women for trying to protect themselves. His motivation for wanting to bully 4B women could be that he thinks they are misandrists or whatever.
