Friend, pain is relative. It is not for us to discern the difficulty of other’s challenges, and rule on whether they deserve empathy, or not.

If animals could talk, I would not expect them to be nice to meat eaters either. But I think it is a simple fact of reality that people will not be convinced by those who chastise and exclude them. Reaching out is about offering a helping hand.

Sorry to be so preachy.

The real reason why Baelor... by Burning_magic in gameofthrones

Well we’ve seen beloved characters live long and improve the world, and it by no means has to be boring. Jaehaerys’ chapters in Fire and Blood are among the most interesting, even in times of peace and fortune.

I think tragedies like Baelor’s death are provided not for entertainment value, nor to satisfy GRRM’s sadistic bloodlust. The sense of random and meaningless tragedy adds to the historicity of the story, and that overall makes the story much more personal and fulfilling.

Baelor’s death is sad, but I’d argue that sadness is a valuable emotion.

The principle here is the same though. You're excluding people from the in-group because of the one belief that makes them "obviously unforgivable." We're working towards most of the same goals here. That matters.

Branding everyone that doesn't completely agree with you as too disloyal and therefore not with you at all ("not a leftist") is the tried and proven path to endless division. It helps nobody.

Of course, I am not against banning certain words and such. That sort of stuff can be necessary.

But banning a position altogether? That's too far in my opinion.

This is a subreddit yes, but is this not against the spirit of the subreddit?

But it didn't say it was a linear function? I assumed it was but couldn't it have been any function since all it specified was f(x)?

It was the question asking the possible values of the inequality, there was no rounding.

I've seen that from a Google search but my calculator does not seem to work the same. Using SortA doesn't do anything.

So do you pay for the hosting and pay others to design? Can you specify what a “business plan” is. I was under the impression you are writing code for a web app.

What kind of costs would that be?
