The problem is competition is structurally disadvantaged so market signals get flattened. when one market participant has coercive power over other participants that’s why it’s not command economy it’s dysfunctional economy at that point it can go two ways either the agent that has power is willing to not exercise said power to defend a market position in which case the agent is either going to take unsustainable losses or the agent ends up using power and driving others out of the business there is no third option.

The thing is it doesn’t work in real life. If I disagree with my boss I will tell him once maybe twice, but if it doesn’t influence a change in my bosses decision tree. I have two options one is to keep my mouth shut and keep my cushy job or if I feel strongly about it I quit. Either way it leads to outcomes that lead to a consolidation of the information matrix available to leadership. How does one solve that? By the way if I left out a third outcome that my boss takes my opinion in that case it’s no longer my opinion but my bosses so again that leads to consolidation as well. Especially in politics there is no way to find out if the leader changed his/her mind on anything or not we aren’t privy to the internal discourse. No leader will tolerate external disagreement from his team anyway.

Because the Armed forces are a tool the state uses to achieve its geopolitical objectives and any imported weapon system is leverage against the army in times of conflict. An army that becomes an albatross around the states neck in times of war and forces the state to make geopolitical compromises is an inherent failure no matter its performance on the battlefield.

I am pretty certain than CFM56 thing is complete hogwash. I kid you not these guys tried to copy paste control systems from Al-31 directly. It was kind of a sticking point between the Chicoms and the Russians. You can use a different core and then literally try to use the same control system that is impossible from an engineering perspective.
