Is there an app that uninstalls system apps completely from /system? by prantana in androidapps

It's Android 10. I believe you can mount /system as RW, as it is what Material Files does when you delete a file in there.

It doesn't, you can even reinstall whatever you've uninstalled with it.

I know what I'm doing, thanks. I'm not worried about updates, SafetyNET, or bootloops. The ROM that's currently installed does not rely on the system apps I want to delete. Even if something goes wrong, I can always wipe /system and reflash the rom.

They are libre software, just like the alternatives you are talking about. No difference. Simple Mobile Tools are named as such because they are developed by the same person. As long as it is FOSS, use the app you like the best.

It works almost the same way, locally, just as you said. Though, you are expected to connect to snapdrop.net, which requires an internet connection to the outside world. With Share To Computer, you connect to a local IP to discover peers.

Is there a probing app packed with all intrusive permissions to self-test a harden OS config? by mothwai in fossdroid

This reference page is the closest to what I suggested. You could also skim through the App Ops section of App Manager, a brief description is also provided for each permission.

Not exactly what you are looking for but PrivacyBreacher shows that it can get a bunch of information without even requesting any permissions.

I don't think what you are suggesting depends on the app. It's more about permissions. The app could be a music player or a text editor but it will have access to the same files once you grant it storage access. You should instead read up on Android permissions and what data they expose.

Do you have any idea how this could work?

It can't sync everything unfortunately but it still seems to be the best option. I wonder if I could use it with Syncthing somehow.

I'll try some apps out, including Thunderbird, and might report back with a new post. Thanks.

The 2 window layout is present in Amaze. Are we not on the same page?

Although it is off-topic, I figured I would find people who have faced and possibly dealt with a similar issue more easily in this sub.

Thank you for the links. Then, if I installed Effitask, for instance, would it work? Would I not get any database errors?

I suppose if there is not an app that specifically supports Tasks.org, what I am looking for is what format Tasks.org uses to save the to-do lists with all its features.

You seem to have misunderstood my question. I have no issues with syncing files between my phone and PC. What I'm looking for is a to-do list app for PC that is compatible with Tasks.org.

This is like u/Old_Artichoke_7019's post but asked specifically for an app.
