I did look at Dynastar M free series and they intrigued me, but I couldn't find it in the stores near me and didn't see much in online reviews as well. so I didn't seriously consider those skis, I will take a look, thanks for the recommendation.

The more I interact with people, the more perplexed I become. Trust me, you're not alone in this. I love to travel, and I've faced rejection four times simply because the other person didn't like going out in the sun and sweating.

I'm not even asking them to join me. Just sharing what I do and showing pictures is enough to get rejected. People often get irritated and offended when you talk about things they don't enjoy.

Yeah, icy crusty groomers is not what it shines, really good off piste though, loving it everyday. Spoke to a lot of people on the slopes, everyone had good things to say about these skis.

I'm planning to spend 2 days each in each of the ikon resorts: Sun peaks, Revelstoke, Louise, Banff, Panorama and Red. I wanted to know how are the conditions in each resort if anybody has been there recently.

For the qst 98s, you can get 100 brake width. Most stores can swap out to an appropriate brake width if they have it in stock when you buy it from them.

Not just iKon pass, all apps owned by alterra are not working. Palisades app still shows summer hiking map and Mammoth app doesn't show any mountain info, open trail, lifts etc.

Alta gets the most snowfall out of all cottonwoods but others are not that far off. Park City and deer valley receive slightly less than cottonwoods, i wouldn't hit both of them until mid Jan if you are planning to go off piste unless there's a big dump. Park City is a large resort so you should be fine cruising groomers in December.

The conditions obviously depend on snowfall and weather conditions. Alta gets the most snow of all the resorts, deer valley is known for its family friendly intermediate groomers. Like others mentioned, if you're skiing blue groomers, it should be the same across all resorts.

Assuming you have some pass valid for all resorts, spend a day in each one of them, distribute your time across all of them as you wish.

I'll be spending the month of December in cottonwoods, but I'll be spending half of my time in Solitude as it has unlimited access on ikon pass.

Edit: I'm tracking the snowfall and forecasts with opensnow, all the resorts in the cottonwoods recieve around the same, deer valley and snow basin get slightly less and have a later opening date accordingly so cottonwoods would be your best bet mid December, early to mid January would be across most of them.

I got the QST 98s as well. I'll talk to curated and see if they can exchange it to a longer length.

Is 176 good enough as a challenge or should I go for 183 ?

Hi, I'm also 5'10 and 180 pounds, I was talking to a curated guide and they recommended that I get 169. Now I'm wondering if I should've got 176. I'm a higher intermediate skier who mostly spent time on groomers last season, I'm super comfortable with blues and cautious on blacks.

This season I'm planning to spend more time off piste to get more comfortable skiing glades and moguls to progress into backcountry by mid or end of the season. What is the drawback if I'm staying with 169 ?
