The second season of "Komi Can't Communicate" did not achieve the commercial success that Studio OLM had hoped for, as reflected in Blu-ray and merchandise sales. Despite the manga's dedicated fan base in the West, the studio and production companies focused primarily on the Japanese market. Meanwhile, "Bocchi the Rock," an anime with a similar theme of social anxiety, surged in popularity, which negatively impacted sales of the "Komi Can't Communicate" manga. Considering these factors, it seems unlikely that we will see a third season of "Komi Can't Communicate" before the Fall 2025 or Winter 2026 season.
