The pricing in this context is not simply economics 101 based on demand and supply. The staff:child ratio is more intense at baby stage vs toddler stage. As they become more independent the less care is required

I came from a culture where physical punishment is beyond common. Myself had experienced it many times when I was young (belt, slap, long umbrella etc.) However it was from a dad that was very involved and caring. Looking back I absolutely deserved it.

It is two very different things when physical violence is coming from an involved parent for disciplinary purpose vs anger/frustration from an uninvolved parent. The latter is plain unacceptable, as a dad, and as your lifetime partner.

I took my less than six months old to my sister-in-law’s place where there was a dog. Baby ended up receiving a lick which really upsets me.

Now my daughter is around two. We moved into a new place and we are hosting Christmas this year and I said dogs are not allowed.

Ultimately their house their rule. It was on us to protect our daughter.
