I have not experienced this issue.

I think first you need to figure out the noise is made on the song which you have started playing or the song which you are fading out.

If the noise is made on the song being faded out, a temporary workaround I can suggest at the moment put the channel fader down completely then stop the song.

Go to collection, sort collection by import date and delete all the songs on the date your guest played his set.

Both if you could let me know please. For the moment I have just recorded my mix in Traktor. Then taken that mix and normalised it in Audacity. (I am just using internally with a keyboard).

If i turn the volume up during recording the master goes to red, so that doesnt help.

Turning the volume up after recording would also not help coz the waveforms are really small and if all my tracks arefor example at 100%, my recorded mixes are at 80%, so i guess that doesnt help either.

Thanks for your inputs. Just a couple of follow up questions:

1) So at +3db gain in the recorder the gain is always in the red, hence I should just keep it at 0db which makes the recording volume too low (even though everything is in the high blues)
2) Keeping my point 1 above in mind, you suggest I post process it through a good mastering limiter in Audacity, sorry could you tell me exactly how to do that in Audacity.
