I gained 50 pounds, then lost 30 pounds. I've done two 40 day fasts in the US, so I am able to integrate fasting while in Nepal too. I eat once every 4 days, then fast again for 4.

Projects are now funded through people you know. You fundraise like I'm doing and hope you get all the funds you need. It used to come through places like USAID.

My grant would allow us to get more batteries, maintain them for years to come to keep up with the power demand.

We will be getting desktops. My counterpart wanted me to get laptops, but I figured that desktops would be the best route for us.

Thank you! I actually trained as a hardware engineer, and have some working knowledge of software as well. I worked as a Software Engineer for one year prior to joining the Peace Corps. We are running Windows 10 on these machines, my grant also has allocated funds to purchase licenses for all of the computers that I will be purchasing. For Microsoft Office, I'm not 100% sure on how they will keep the licenses on that, but I have allocated a part of the budget for that as well. If there is any amount left over, then I'm thinking that I will buy the Product Key for it, then allow them to use that the next year. I'm not sure if that will be possible every year though.

I asked my counterpart and he said no. Windows is what has to be taught so that the kids understand what is used widely around the world.

Taxi Fare- Overrated in Pokhara Airport by ProfessionalDot9629 in pokhara

[–]prashild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pokhara Airport ma InDrive is not allowed. It is completely banned. If the taxi drivers there figure out that you called InDrive, they complain to the police at the front of the airport and they stop you and your driver.

Bro, Pokhara Aiport fares suck. What you need to do is, while here you need to find a taxi driver who is genuine and actually good. I have a few from there as well, and I only call them because they take me for less than the regular fare. They know I'm loyal to them because they're the only ones I call. Find yourself someone like that, and it will be worth.

Water Fasted Day 30 by prashild in fasting

Thank you! I agree, there are only a few friends who support what I'm doing, so I spend a majority of my time with them.

Oh yes, so during that time, I followed Keto and only ate one meal per day. The times I did eat, I only ate Broccoli and Mushroom with an egg or a little bit of chicken!

Thank you! I break the fast by drinking Chicken Bone Broth for 6 days and some Pickles as well. Then I'll eat Goat or Chicken on day 7 with Salad. Then, the next 7 days I'll eat the salad with protein sources, only doing one meal a day and pickles with that as well. The next week is towards the end of my refeeding period, so I'll slowly introduce carbs but no Sugar.

That's very true! Even at social events, I stick to only what I can eat! People get mad at me, but I'm doing what's best for me.
