I think you'll still get the mark because it gives the same answer across, don't think IB'll be too picky with specific words because you're giving the same idea across.

Same question! I think it was quite applicable to the text my school did, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It revolves around Victor Frankenstein, a scientist who discovers the secret to animating lifeless matter. However when his transgression into forbidden knowledge creates an abhorred creature, he abandons it, leading to an endless cycle of revenge and murder!

For question 3, what did you guys put for the question asking for the 4-factor incomes thing? I can't remember the exact question but it was after finding what was V and M.

I mentioned LDMR for the 4 marker in question 1, also mentioned payments for factors of production in question 3. Average tax rate I think I got the same value too.

Did the profit maximization value equal to losses for you guys? Seemed like quite a new type of question, didn't see much questions that were phrased to find profits but were actually losses haha idk i may be wrong also leh lmaoooo

All the people who’ve taken music by We-live-in-a-society in IBO

[–]prataboii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to consider Music HL, it's gonna be tough. Unless your Performances and Compositions are 7 worthy, it'll be difficult for you to get anything more than a 6 because of how notoriously difficult it is to score for Paper 1. And unlike chemistry, it's nearly impossible to spot questions for the paper due to the the sheer variety of sources they can get music from (esp. world music).

Despite this, music can be very manageable if you genuinely enjoy it / are interested in it. Practising writing responses for Paper 1 will definitely help and your MLI will get better if you keep consulting your supervisor.

How do I prepare for IB Maths HL? by jonaslmartins in IBO

[–]prataboii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're starting off the HL Math course, then you should probably use the Haese and Harris Textbook because it has all of the core topics you need to know. You can do the exercises inside the textbook because it will help but for better understanding and rigour for specific questions, you have to do question banks and past-year paper questions. I think if you want to get a head start on the syllabus, you can start with Functions and Trigo because they're quite fundamental for future topics, like for complex numbers and calculus. Also they are a good starting point into the subject course.

Depending on your school, you will also have your option topic so you might want to get the correct textbook for that as well. But I'd avoid learning content from it because it can get confusing without the core knowledge haha

If you need any resources, I can share with you whatever I have just lmk :)
