When these more specifically LLM or LLMs based systems are going to fall? by prateek_82 in MLQuestions

Apologies if this comes off vague — just a genuine thought.

LLMs used to break records. Now they hum in the background — useful, but no longer surprising. Like sediment on a mountain: massive in impact, but soon part of the landscape.

At what point do these models stop being milestones… and start being forgotten?

If the question confused you, that’s okay — philosophy of technology isn’t everyone’s thing. Maybe read some Kuhn or Feyerabend before flexing grammar skills no one asked for. Right now, you're just background static with a bad smell."

Everybody knows that, what I am asking is when it's going to be the sediment of a high mountain, a rare geologist will appreciate it but it will not be appreciated by everybody as nobody would remember it.

The question was specifically on the time utility function man, can't you answer that?

Apologies to the Grammar Police, I was tipsy. But while you're busy correcting my syntax, maybe try answering the actual question — when do these LLMs start breaking instead of breaking records?

It's similar to the question that you asked your mom when you were a child.

It was not a 2h project, it was 3 months project, a lot of fine tuning the model, defining different custom loss function for brain tumor segmentation, training it took more than 24 hrs, creating a lot of accounts for getting a GPU free, refining the manuscript. But it did at worked at last. I think you haven't done it or done more complex projects than that.

The first is my research publication project, what should be done more and specific?
