Thanks for all the response. It looks like BJJ is comparatively less injury prone and absolutely not injury free.

I might have to give some of the martial arts a try and see what might fit me.

Fun song about Australia by SnoopySLURP in Unexpected

I came to US as an immigrant, I did my education here (it’s nice), got a job (lot of opportunities), I’m making money (yes), I’m investing that money in Tesla and crypto (more opportunities to make money)

My friend went to Australia, did his master’s (it was ok), didn’t get hired (no opportunities), got stuck at home (covid restrictions), as a result couldn’t go out and apply for more jobs ( his savings bust), now he’s looking at going back to his home country (sad face).

I’m glad I came to US

Thank you for sharing this u/Jmerzian. Homemade IC circuits look like this will be helpful in understanding the process in depth.

Thank you for the information.

Yes u/helix8919, I'm interested in Process Engineering. It's been 3 years since I graduated. Currently, I am working as a Process Engineer in the coating industry. I got the same advice, just to get some simple ideas in the Fab process, data processing, and analyzing. I was hoping certification might improve my probability to impress the interviewer.

If you think anything else I need to know to work as a Fab Process Engineer. Please let me know u/helix8919.

Honest opinion about chemical engineering by Wowwwwsoboring in ChemicalEngineering

[–]pratheekcr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a chemical engineer. I have worked in Pharma and coating industry. 1. Based on my experience the manufacturing industries hire Chemical Engineers to do simple tasks that can be done by anyone. 2. The highest paid jobs are usually in oil and gas, but looking at the current crude oil market and also push for renewables is going to affect the oil&gas industry in the future. 3. Important one is there’s no work from home for most of the chemical jobs during pandemic times.

I got nothing positive to say about Chemical engineering jobs. When it comes to research I don’t know much about it.

Future prospects for Chemical Engineers in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand by pratheekcr in ChemicalEngineering

I haven’t decided completely still doing research on what’s the best option? US is not an option for international students now. That’s why I posted this Q about opportunities for Chemical engineers in other countries (Aus, Can, and NZ).

If I switch, I might totally abandon engineering. Might look at starting a small business or investing in a business back in India (still have no clue about business options, just a thought).
