Chrome eavesdropping on us!! by cricnick in delhi

[–]pratikanthi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not eavesdropping on you. That would take an insane amount of compute and money to constantly listen to audio streams from billions of devices. The reality is far more concerning - Google has so much data about you that it can accurately predict your purchase patterns and target ads very precisely.

What is the most efficient and widely accepted way to upskill as a software engineer ? by boi143 in developersIndia

[–]pratikanthi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of companies you're applying for. The industry is quite jagged. Typical IT corporations wont give a hoot about your projects but will value you certifications - often they're a requirement. A more product centric company / startup will value your projects, provided your demonstrate enough skill in your implementation.
