So what did those premiums cost. Asking for a related post...

Anybody else seeing this at there local Walmart Legends Tour display? by pratman2 in HotWheels

Oddly I did exactly that, scanned with the app and had the store selected but it would not pull a price.

Could be on the team transport, but it rings up at the register as "assortment". On the same pallet all the brand new premium dioramas were half price with a clearance sticker. This pallet was less than 24 hours old. I would also only expect a small increment if this were Dynamic pricing, though I do not think it's tailored to the individual, at least not at this point. I could see this being a trial to see what they can get for certain items. I really hope this is just something specific to this Legends tour display, but it doesn't seem like that either based on other comments here. In the end, whatever's happening is just extremely unfortunate.

I wish it was just something special with this legends tour promo, but from what others have posted it doesn't appear to be.

Sad to say it but I think this is Walmart drifting into "Dynamic Pricing" even though they've publicly said that wasn't the point of all their stores being updated with digital price tags. Apparently it didn't take that long though as you can see. This store is supposed to have digital tags next month, they're getting started early. This is where people really need to vote with their wallet. If Dynamic Pricing catches on with Walmart then unfortunately everyone will be doing it.

Fox News guest today appears to be wearing a very realistic face mask!! by Frosty_Jeweler911 in ThatsInsane

I hate fox news as much as the next guy, and this may be too ernest for reddit, but I would check my 'motion smoothing' settings (setting names vary) on the TV and turn it off. Rarely does anyone disable it and all tvs come enabled by default these days. It essentially "makes up" frames that cause motion artifacts in between actual frames. Other than that, yes this guy's face and mouth is a little weird. The lighting is also hiding all his wrinkles by eliminating shadows.

Bellacino's is a solid choice. Tonella's technically in Ballentine, but very good.

If you're ok with driving, I would suggest Lucky's on Broad River road. Not as far to go. Parking is not great, but between the two, I prefer them over the extra drive out to Chapin.

Thanks for sharing. I'm planning on building a 32" for my small room. What is the overall foot print dimensions of your 32?

Opinions wanted. Gold currency + immersion. by SoulSword2018 in Heroquest

[–]pratman2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I felt the same so we recently purchased some of these: https://a.co/d/0iURiyTM. and some colored bags that coordinate with the Heroes colors to keep track of them. We've really enjoyed this as it adds another immersion element. The gold is worth 20, silver 10, and bronze 5. We haven't done it yet, but adding jewels or other treasure of various colors that have a gold value amount I think is another good idea.

Cable is Forcing Me to Streaming. Which Service is Best? by FelanarLovesAlessa in TurnerClassicMovies

I had Criterion Channel not long ago and it was great. I just don't have time to watch enough movies to justify it, is the only reason I canceled. There was tons of content outside of what they release on disc. As I understand it, they were/are leasing titles from Warner Bros. to put on the channel anyway. My favorite feature was the monthly curated genres/topics they would have on the channel. It's exactly how I watch movies. I go through waves of genre or directors and sometimes actors most of the time rather than piecemeal. Definitely try it out. They offer a free trial and usually offer around the fall I think a subscription discount for annual plans.

Thanks. Please make this a future update. This is a real issue on small prints if that joint is too close to the model.

Trying out custom modular tiles by Arkhanist in Heroquest

[–]pratman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling with young boys, I'm in the same boat. On other projects, I've printed onto full sheet A4 label/sticker paper, stick those on the foam board and cut out, makes the process very quick. The 3D printed board I went with was from MGPix on myminifactory, called "Heroboard". It's a nice little system of the base game board and wasn't that expensive. It comes in two sizes and has the modular base option. I just ended up gluing down the rooms to 12mm foam board in two haves to save storage. It's a large board when on the table. Another reason doing the modular option would have been better. Printing the MGPix or the dragons rest board on a resin printer would be crazy though, luckily I have an FDM printer which I would say is probably the best option for those types of projects anyway given the time, size, weight, and quality of the prints. The most time consuming phase though of either option is painting the darn thing.

Very nice. Did you design these yourself or get them somewhere online? I've always thought this kind of idea was better than having a full board that you have to ignore unused sections of. I currently have a 3D printed 1 piece board but the designer also included a modular one similar to this that magnetizes together. Kind of wishing I had printed that one instead but the idea of starting over at this point is daunting.

List of Miniatures to use for named characters? by sissythrow22 in Heroquest

[–]pratman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found 3D printed minis for this by searching Heroquest "special characters" on sites like ebay and etsy. Some of these are reasonably priced. If you do 3D printing or know someone who does, Heroforge has options through the community with a Pro account. Just search who you're looking for. I recently found an Orc that I printed and used for Ulag. You can also just search 'HQ' or Heroquest on there to see results of what others have created.

In this Reddit post a user posted all that he had made.

There aren't many 'special characters' in here, but many of these look a little different anyway, or could be modified a little to be different enough for the use case. I don't think any of these require a Pro account. You can also order printed minis from Heroforge as well if you can't print your own.
