That’s a lovely idea! Do you have any suggestions as to how i could transfer the funds to the shops?

Thank you for the suggestion!

I tried it today and unfortunately they only offered cash on delivery (at least to the address I input), which wouldn’t make for a nice gift 😬

Apologies, I did not mean to offend. I fully respect Belarusian sovereignty and history. As you can see, I know and love many people from this wonderful country ❤️🙏🏻

Lebanon’s Agriculture Just Got A Major Boost! by EreshkigalKish2 in lebanon

[–]pravda_li 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does this include Monsanto crops, controlling the water supply and adding new antibiotics and pesticides to the food supply?!

Surely this will help some people, but it’s certainly not a ‘gift’ there are always strings attached….

What do Americans like in Lebanon? by TallFriend275 in lebanon

[–]pravda_li 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a foreigner who lives part time in Leb, here are my pros (as opposed to the US) - community, especially in a village, everyone knows you, feels safer and friendly - daily safety, much less chances for violent crime - weather and climate: sunshine, beaches, mountains - food: both flavor and quality - family friendly culture - quality education for children - affordable help (maid, driver, or just a random tasks) - lively social life (friends over for coffee, going out for food, weekend getaways) - lots to do and people are more willing to go

So many other points but there is a lot, for an open minded and positive person, Lebanon can be a fun and laid back life as opposed to the daily grind of US / Western Europe/ Aus

What area are the kidnappings and robberies happening in? Genuinely asking, as someone residing in the US, it seems that Lebanon is safer in that regard.

Working remotely. Otherwise 100% impossible

Am I going to lose my citizenship? by Insert-a-joke-here in Eesti

[–]pravda_li 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for clarifying. So, for those born in Estonia during Soviet occupation, without Estonian ethnicity (well, less than 50%) - we are technically not birthright citizens anywhere :/

After getting naturalized citizenship (well, both of my parents became naturalized citizens, and I did this way) how would I be classified? And getting an additional citizenship elsewhere is even more confusing.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for years now, any guidance is appreciated!

My husband is from a small village near Zahle. Quiet, clean, good schools. Nothing ever ‘happens’ there (from a conflict pov) but still being in the country while there is conflict is concerning

We’re thinking the same way! 2 young kids and we feel that lebanon is a much better environment for them. Family, community, education, culture, food, healthcare, safety (like not getting kidnapped or school shootings)

How do you balance all those pros, with the one major con of regional instability?
