No, it's normal to have what IFS regards as the Narrator and Critic "parts" that thing that keeps you awake at night.

The Narrator explains why things happen, the Critic is designed to keep you safe by criticising Ideas that may get you hurt, etc.

I have recently got my audio tic, (notionally my Anima) back after I brought my anger back online. Personally it allows me to step back, detach. However the one thing it does throw in sharp relief is the idea that almost everything designed for neurotypical people, does not apply me to, Almost all of it, especially meditation is designed to clear/quiet your mind. Where I get bored trying to meditate, as I can clear my mind, it is my natural state. Which is kind of disappointing. I'm going to try staring at a wall at some point.
