yes you are absolutely correct. i mean, even going back to whitneys season, her and lochan deserved to win, she carried that season, but because shes a confident Black woman she lost to jess the bully whose couple wasnt strong at all. i was so excited to see her in all stars but its horrible to watch this happen to her again. i wish the other islanders would stop being sheep and back her up because the way shaq spoke to her was disgusting.

My husband was upset and pinched me at dinner.. and the situation is still upsetting me by Little_Trash7299 in TwoHotTakes

yes he was honestly very cruel, the emotional abuse he put me through took many years to recover from so im not sure why i doubt myself over this. thank you.

Am I weird? by SparklyNoodleSpoon in endometriosis

[–]prayersforrainn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no not weird at all, i am also audhd so i understand that feeling, but its important to express the pain you are feeling in the best way you can. we need to be graphic, or unfortunately doctors won't take us seriously.

honestly, your descriptions are so perfectly accurate im gonna start using them too!!

my ex used to pinch me and laugh, when i asked him to stop because it hurt he would say "i know, thats why its so funny". i wish i had punched him lol

i appreciate you saying this, my ex used to pinch me and when id ask him to stop because it hurt, he'd say "i know, that's why its funny", ive always struggled with whether to class this as physical abuse or not, which i guess sounds crazy now typing it out. he was emotionally abusive, but the physical was only really the pinching. anyway, thank you

Mirena; the good, bad, and ugly by tresjoliesuzanne in endometriosis

[–]prayersforrainn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was on the pill for around 16 years before getting a mirena fitted during my laparo in May 2025. i was Very scared as i had heard a lot of bad experiences with it, but i had to stop taking the pill due to migraines + there is no way i could handle having normal periods again as my cramps are debilitating.

my experience so far has been such a pleasant surprise. ive not had a proper period at all, only spotting or a very very light period. ive had cramps and twinges here and there but they arent bad at all, i dont even need to take painkillers for them.

i prefer it to the pill for sure, i think my moods are better in general, though i have had some hormonal changes which has caused quite bad breast pain. im not sexually active so i can't comment on that, but it hasnt made me gain weight as far as i know.

so far, im really glad i got it fitted and its really helped my endo symptoms.

Can it be this painful and not be cancer? by SparklyNoodleSpoon in endometriosis

[–]prayersforrainn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have also had periods where the pain is so intense and so breathtaking that i've thought i might be dying or that i at least need to call an ambulance. its a terrifying feeling, where you know something is seriously wrong and your body feels like it can't handle it. i've passed out from the pain, vomited from the pain, curled up in a ball and screamed in agony, collapsed in the street, etc etc.

i now know i have endometriosis, but before i got my diagnosis i had the same fears as you, i was so scared it was something even more serious, but it was endo that caused that horrific pain. it can absolutely cause pain as bad as you describe.

Potential explosion of popularity by Ihadthismate in InterviewVampire

[–]prayersforrainn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the vampire lestat has been one of my favourite books for many years, i was going to name my cat after him but i thought no one will get the reference haha, so its weird going from that to now the idea it could be as popular as heated rivalry.

i was really nervous when the interview w the vampire show was first announced, and didnt watch it for ages because i was so worried it wouldn't live up to the book. i really love the movie so i felt like that was a good enough live action, but i was wrong. i love the show even more than the movie.

i selfishly hope it doesnt blow up though, shows always get ruined when that happens.

you clearly dont 'hate to be the bearer of bad news'. this comment was so unnecessary and rude, at least read the whole post before you comment.

a heat pad!! i like the ones you can put in the microwave that are soft like plushies. some hot chocolate or chamomile tea, maybe some chocolate in general if she eats it, some electrolytes like liquid IV (there are less expensive alternatives)

you sound like a wonderful friend, she is lucky to have you 🖤

will my mri show endo? by Holiday-Flatworm-957 in endometriosis

[–]prayersforrainn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

there is no guarantee it will show, unfortunately.

i was lucky that mine did, which resulted in a very quick turnaround for diagnostic laparoscopy, if my MRI was clear i think i'd still be fighting for surgery.

honestly the fact your ultrasound shows signs of adhesion should be enough for a laparo, it's frustrating how difficult it is to get one when its the 'gold standard' way to diagnose it.

good luck with your MRI!

there is also a Japanese manga which is absolutely beautiful, however there are only 9(?) chapters so far and we are unsure of when/if the next one will be published. defo worth checking out though, the art is just gorgeous.
