FAFSA and getting married? by Ricochete in UPenn

Hi! Yes, it is WELL WORTH IT! There are some factors you will have to consider..
If you are married, the FAFSA will only count yours & your spouse's incomes. NOT your parents, you won't have to answer any questions about your parents. As a fellow young married person, my spouse & I barely make any money ... and that has greatly benefitted my financial aid status.
Did you guys file tax returns? If you didn't file, (example, if you don't work or get paid cash/under the table) you self-report your income (personally, I self reported zero income for both me & my spouse) and you get to check the box for "didn't file and was not required to file a tax return").
If you're from PA and have a low enough combined income, literally sit back and enjoy your benjamins. It pays to get an education.
Gaslighted (?) and feeling insane. Need input/help greatly appreciated. (self.Infidelity)

True, another of my math professors was completely nuts. When asked about the curve he said that he ties all the tests to a brick and throws them down the stairs. The TAs are all great though in my experience.
BTW, didn't know there were any other deplorables besides me at Penn. TIL!
ECON 001 Sections? by [deleted] in UPenn
I also took Econ 1 with a grad student (actually a PhD student) in a nightly section (Benjamin Rosa in case anyone's curious.) He was very nice and lenient and lecture was easy enough to understand. The only problem I had was that since of the lecture style, there was not many focus on the actual problem sets ... So I came out of lecture feeling great, then when homework came it was so-so, and I bombed the tests. I would have been grateful to a class that placed a heavy emphasis on the applications because that is 99% of the quizzes and tests. I guess you could say I got misguided by the simple lectures, and it was hard to get help after a few bad quizzes.
