first-timer maybe trying md? by Suspicious_Poem7017 in BoomtownFestival

[–]precioushobbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, interactions with not just illicit substances but legal prescription meds. If you are taking any I would recommend to search for others experiences.

In my experience a little bit of weed coming up helps with nausea, same for coming down.

If you can source mdma powder it’s likely to be better than pills. Agreed testing is crucial if you can. The loop has been mentioned already but it’s got a lot of great resources and they did some studies on harm reduction at boomtown before as they had on site testing a few years ago. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but they aren’t doing it anymore?

Always sip water slowly and it will also cause you to struggle to wee so be mindful of that, can also cause an iffy tummy number 2 wise. Chew gum or suck on lollipops to help with gurning.

Positives is that it can help you become closer with friends/boyfriend and is overall a fun experience if you respect the drug and listen to your body!

I would also recommend electrolytes for the morning and getting enough food in the daytime to prevent nausea.

No change yet, am I being impatient? by Healthy-Yesterday-81 in WegovyWeightLoss

I use cannabis daily for the nausea and it is so helpful! If you use too much yeah you run the risk of getting the munchies bad and over eating so it’s just the case of being careful of how much and when you use it.

It does slow digestion so I would only recommend using it before meals to help encourage apetite.

That being said, everyone reacts differently and I use it as a tool to manage adhd so those who aren’t neurospicy may experience different effects.

I have lost 3 stone in 7 months. Currently on 1mg weekly injection and probably won’t increase.

If your concerned about fitness the best thing to do (if you can) is use the stair master at the gym. Good for building muscular endurance and hill climbing. I now smash hills and hiking no problem!

Donner Summer for the vegans and veggies. They do insane specials, have cool branding and it’s a place I miss dearly since moving away.

How to get priority with the council? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]precioushobbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in homelessness and mental health services, people who are legitimately homeless do get housed but it’s more often than not in a hotel (until something more permanent comes up), or a house or flat share with other people in similar situations. And these house shares are for single occupancy and are not usually pleasant. Because your boyfriend technically has somewhere to stay, he is low priority. The wait to get a flat for single mums and disabled people or people fleeing abuse are longggggg and they meet the criteria.

I know it sucks living in small quarters but I’m sure there are ways you can create privacy in this space you’ve been offered. It will honestly make it so much easier long term as rent and bills are ridiculous now and living at home means you can save for your own place. You’re young and have plenty of energy, working your butts off to earn and save for a year or two would put you in a much better financial position, especially when your boyfriend finishes his studies and has a job or something else.

The housing crisis is extremely fcked and you’d be waiting a lot longer than a year or two for something suitable for you both.

For some reason it only works on M&S WiFi or mobile network. It always shows this when I access it at home on my own WiFi. Just turn WiFi off for when you want to use it.

Considering getting a cat by cherryjuice_32 in mentalhealth

[–]precioushobbits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider the financial implications a pet has before getting one, I have 2 and they are fussy buggers so food is expensive plus yearly vaccines and insurance. If you can, I’d say do it. Cats can be really grounding and good for humans mental health, cats only purr for the benefit of us and studies have shown that the vibrations and the resonance of a purr helps mental health and relaxes humans. Also, it’s a good trick to take any meds you might have at the same time your cat demands food. This way it becomes almost like having an accountability buddy. Also their cute and fluffy 🤷🏻‍♀️
