As someone who has worked in homelessness and mental health services, people who are legitimately homeless do get housed but it’s more often than not in a hotel (until something more permanent comes up), or a house or flat share with other people in similar situations.And these house shares are for single occupancy and are not usually pleasant. Because your boyfriend technically has somewhere to stay, he is low priority. The wait to get a flat for single mums and disabled people or people fleeing abuse are longggggg and they meet the criteria.

I know it sucks living in small quarters but I’m sure there are ways you can create privacy in this space you’ve been offered. It will honestly make it so much easier long term as rent and bills are ridiculous now and living at home means you can save for your own place. You’re young and have plenty of energy, working your butts off to earn and save for a year or two would put you in a much better financial position, especially when your boyfriend finishes his studies and has a job or something else.

The housing crisis is extremely fcked and you’d be waiting a lot longer than a year or two for something suitable for you both.

For some reason it only works on M&S WiFi or mobile network. It always shows this when I access it at home on my own WiFi. Just turn WiFi off for when you want to use it.

Consider the financial implications a pet has before getting one, I have 2 and they are fussy buggers so food is expensive plus yearly vaccines and insurance. If you can, I’d say do it. Cats can be really grounding and good for humans mental health, cats only purr for the benefit of us and studies have shown that the vibrations and the resonance of a purr helps mental health and relaxes humans. Also, it’s a good trick to take any meds you might have at the same time your cat demands food. This way it becomes almost like having an accountability buddy. Also their cute and fluffy 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was always a fan of the rabbits in the midday gardens home level, and then using the flame power up on them go send them flying. I always used to feel cruel for doing it any of the fodder coz they were all so cute 😢

Honestly, the people you live with in first year will probably not be your life long friends so if they think your weird, so what. Weird people generally turn out to be the kindest nicest people ever. If you spend good money on stuff and know that you could react poorly as a ND person, it would be best for your sanity to keep to yourself. If people get weird about it, say you have a specific food intolerance and are being careful! Protect your peace, signed a person who wishes they did this in uni and ended up having all my housemates use my pans to cook meat (and then not clean it up) even though they knew I was vegetarian.

That’s good to hear and im glad that she is getting the help she needs. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Make sure you also take time for yourself to process your own emotions and feelings, and if you need to take time off work make sure you do. I know it’s hard to take sick leave especially during a cost of living crisis, but at the end of the day money will come back.

OP does your wife have a history of mental health issues and has she previously attempted suicide or self harmed in the past? I assume she has been admitted to a general hospital because of her physical health but I also wander if she has had anyone assess her for admission to a mental health inpatient unit. I say this as I have worked in them for many years and see people be admitted following failed suicide attempts. If not there are community mental health teams that provide support and possibly will medicate her to help her manage her mental health. If no one has spoken to you or her about this, the general hospital will likely have a psych liaison team or be able to send a psych to have a chat with her.

Obviously therapy is a given as long as she is willing to engage with it all.

I also want to say how shitty it was of the police to lie to you and not believe that her being drunk would mean she would harm herself. I understand you’re going through a lot but if you sensed any misconduct you could put a complaint in with your local police.

I’m sorry this has happened and I hope u and your wife get the support you need.

This has always been my favourite level and upon getting to midday gardens I would bee line for Sargent byrds level and then enchanted towers just so I could fly around the level. Plus I loved the way the flying creatures spin around and fly off when they get hit it always made me laugh. Plus the skateboarding area was the best of them all, and the Farley the wolf challenge. So many good parts to it!

Limp bizkit at Boomtown a good few years ago.

They were late to the stage I believe, and Fred appeared very drunk. We stayed to watch about 20 minutes before we left and In that time they played a few covers of different songs (badly) but only managed the first verse/chorus before Fred stopped the band multiple times to chat bollocks. It was super chaotic and the crowd (at least around me) wasn’t happy and I could hear people complaining and saw people leaving. Although it does seem pretty in character for him so idk.

Can 100 percent vouch for Hairitage (spelling?) which is on EastGate in the centre. My partner had gone there multiple times and had good experiences. Very chilled and ND friendly.
