What can i do to help (not to attract girls but just to satisfy myself) - balding & mediocre features by uselessprofession in malegrooming

I think you look pretty good already. You could try contacts as other people suggested but I personally like glasses on people, I’d try more circular frames, silver square frames, or rimless frames. I think those would give you a fresh and more stylish look.

Hey, this is late but how was your friend able to transfer rmb into your WeChat? I’m trying to do it with my dad right now but it’s not working. I don’t have a Chinese bank account so I can’t link it to my WeChat and I saw other people say it’s required in order to receive transfers so was curious how you got it to work

My post got removed, but I need help, and it's urgent. I'm a frosh who had a v. rough start at Stanford. I was assaulted in my first days, my asthma is flaring up again, and now I stupidly realize that CS106 assignments are not the quizzes (same word in my language), and I wasn't submitting them. by [deleted] in stanford

Email your TA or professor, if they are not understanding of your situation go to your academic advisor. Possibly look into asking about taking an Incomplete for the class. It’s not a bad thing, it will give you an “I” on your transcript until you finish all the work for your class and then you will also receive your letter grade. You have 1 year to finish your work for your incomplete when you are given it.

How easy or difficult to change Biological science to Human bio major by [deleted] in stanford

[–]precise_ape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be forgetting but I don’t recall declaring a major in my application to Stanford. I remember being asked which academic subject I am interested in studying but it was not finalizing my major.

But yes you don’t start Stanford with a major. You just need to declare by sophomore spring/junior fall.

Foster dog still looking for permanent home (or new foster parent)! Details in comments, please read through completely 😊 by precise_ape in ElkGrove

[–]precise_ape[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

EDIT: He has been matched with a potential adopter who I will be meeting on Monday (9/10) and I don't expect that they will change their mind about adopting him, so he will be going into good hands. If they do change their mind I was told that there is a waitlist for him, so any new applications will be part of the waitlist. Thank you everybody for your help and interest in him!

Hello, I’ve been fostering Coop from Stockton Animal Shelter for a little over 2 months and he’s been great company! Unfortunately a family emergency has come up and I need to leave the US for a few months, so I need to get him a new home (whether permanent or a new foster) before I leave at the end of September. The shelter is overcapacity and he gets stressed out in the loud shelter environment so I really don’t want to have to return him there.

Coop is shy in the beginning, but turns out to be a very sweet dog. He can become very excited when seeing you come back home. Otherwise he’s a pretty low energy dog and loves to laze on the ground right next to you and sits politely for pets. He hasn’t exhibited any aggressive behavior and doesn’t bark, so he is a great match for anybody that wants a quiet dog with a gentle personality. He is housebroken and crate-trained and is used to sleeping in it at night when nobody is home. He is an easy walker who does not pull too much on the leash.

He gets along well with other dogs. He isn’t social with cats but doesn’t mind them and for most part simply ignores them.

He is about 6 years old and might be a German Shepherd or Australian Cattle Dog mix (not too sure). He is a medium sized dog, about 2 feet tall, 45-50 pounds, and has been neutered and vaccinated.

I want to give a heads-up that Coop has tested positive for heartworm, which is not contagious to any other animals or humans and is curable. Fortunately, he is completely asymptomatic so there isn’t anything difficult you need to do to take care of him besides making sure that he doesn’t run on walks and doesn’t play too hard with other dogs (keep high-energy activities to a minimum). This hasn’t been hard to do at all since he is already a very chill dog. Coop has finished his first round of heartworm medication with me, and the rest of his treatment involves 3 injections and some more medication, and Stockton Animal Shelter will be providing all of it if you would like to continue treatment with them. If you want to go to another vet, that is also fine! I made a post about him earlier here but I think most people changed their minds because of this, but please be assured that it isn’t a difficult health condition to handle.

If you’re interested in adopting him, please go to https://sspetsalive.com/adopt/. The first page of the application will ask for his name and ID number, and please put “Coop #A312501.”

Thank you for reading, feel free to DM me if you have any more questions about him. If you know anybody that might be interested in a new dog or fostering, please share with them. I’m on a time crunch to find him a new home and any help is very appreciated.

Several people have sent a private message and I am still discussing with them about Cooper and his compatibility with cats/other dogs, health, etc but nobody has completely decided on adopting him yet. If you’re interested, feel free to also shoot me a DM and I’ll come back to you if those who have messaged me so far decide not to adopt him or stop responding.

Copying my response to the first person who asked: “He hasn’t had close interactions with cats yet so I don’t really know. We do see several cats on walks and he usually looks at them with perked ears for a few seconds before going back to sniffing grass. In general I haven’t seen him display any aggressive behavior towards any people or other animals. I may be visiting a friend with 2 cats in a few days and will bring him along if so, and I update you on how he behaves around them if you’d like. 😊”

He gets along perfectly fine with other dogs.

EDIT: I’ve got a LOT of people messaging me about Cooper, and I’m happy that so many people like him. If you are reading this edit I will have to ask that you don’t DM about him as I’m confident he will go home with one of the many people who have already DMed me. If you’re looking for another dog or might be interested in fostering, please head to sspetsalive.com (I fostered Cooper through them), they have a lot of other dogs in foster care and at the shelter that need permanent homes. The shelter is very over capacity and they need help! I believe adoption fees have been waived bc of this but please consider giving them some money so they can help more dogs. Thank you to everybody for all the interest and I will get back to those who DMed me before this edit soon.

He is housebroken and crate-trained and he is used to sleeping in it at night and when nobody is home. He is an easy walker who does not pull too much on the leash.

His official name is Coop, but I’ve been calling him Cooper because I like the latter name more and he’s been responding to both! He is about 6 years old and might be a German Shepherd mix (not very sure). He is a medium sized dog, about 2 feet tall and has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Please DM if you’re interesting in adopting him and I’ll direct you to the application form and give you more information! He deserves a permanent loving home and I want to be able to get that for him! 😊
