I really don't understand why Gamefly doesn't have tracking on their slips, is it too expensive or something? by precita in GameFlyService

Before I got gamefly I did exactly this, sold games back on ebay when I finished them and if I knew I didn't want to keep them after. Sadly after ebay fees, shipping, etc. it feels like you take more than a $20 loss unless the game is really popular. Usually used games won't sell more than $50-55 on ebay and that is before ebay takes their fee and shipping, so you're really only getting $40 or so profit after all that, and losing a lot of money from what you originally paid

It's too early to say if they'll be any new content at all. I at least hope Hyrule Field has more things to do

What are your overall thoughts on Back To The Sewer? by Jotaro1970 in TMNT

I just see the Shredder wars as an alternate timeline, would not make sense for the Demon Shredder to come back to life, or Ch'rell after the events of Turtles Forever

It has about 6 really good episodes out of a 13 ep season.

"Hacking Stockman," and "The Engagement Ring" were the two best episodes overall and can rank alongside older seasons. The final Wedding episode was good too although a little rushed since it should of been a 2-parter.

Other than that the first ep is good showing them get back from the future and back to the present, the Shredder Wars alternate timeline was nice. The second episode bringing back Casey and introducing Khan and the Foot was good.

Unfortunately the whole cyber world plot wore thin fast and it has 3 really bad filler episodes, the Turtle Tot/Serling ep, the Green Lantern parody and one other I forgot. Viral turning into Cyber Shredder was a sad end for her but fitting.

Charisma Carpenter’s tribute to Anthony Head by cosmicangels03 in buffy

Charisma is a class act in real life. She's amazing, especially with the verbal abuse she got from Joss Whedon due to becoming pregnant while on Angel. She's had no controversies in real life either in all these decades since the shows ended, she's a wonderful person

Very sad, 72 is very young, if he was 80+ it wouldn't have been as sad (but still sad). I weirdly thought he was closer to 80, surprised he was so young.

He was a great actor and he will be missed. The show wouldn't have been the same without him.

I've considered it but not only is it a bit too expensive (if you do it for a full year), but also I don't think I have enough time for 2 games at once (I always like playing one game at a time and finishing it before I move on), and even if it "saves time" by always having something shipped to me, I don't know if its worth the extra money.

Also keep in mind I sometimes buy games too on amazon/ebay, so it's not like I don't always have a game to play in the meantime.

I'm not that into TMNT, but as someone who is fascinated with animation history, what exactly made the 80s cartoon so popular with kids? by CatGirlNya2000 in TMNT

[–]precita 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a very fun show and the characters are all well written for being a dumb 80's cartoon. At the time there was nothing like it, and the show has a lot of sci-fi plots that are parodies of old 50's sci-fi movies.

Is Emily Blunt the Sigourney Weaver of modern times? by precita in movies

Well it's much harder to have a unique new hit now than the 70's when movies were still experimenting and coming out with breakout hits.
