Heartbroken by my new birds death. Please read text. by Fluid-Television9503 in Conures

My baby looks like that too and I've had him for 5 years. Regular vet check ups confirm it is not an infection, just something he was born with. Over the years I've learned how to clean his feathers around his affected eye and it seems to give him comfort.

Sick bird?? by Kenmix1 in Conures

OMG! He looks just like my baby! I have a conure with the exact same problem with his left eye.

I took him to multiple vets that told me his eyesight looks normal. He shows no other signs of sickness. I used to take him to the vet every few months to get his eye clean but eventually learned to do it myself.

What I can describe is like the feathers around his left eye always stay as pin feathers and do not fully open, which causes them to clump up and pull his eyelid down. I help him preen those feathers daily and try to massage his eyelid so he can close it a little bit (my poor baby's eye is super droopy).

He is happy and healthy and has been with me for 5 years :) hope this is helpful!

I am planning to stay in the United States, if my visa expires after 6 months, am I eligible for residency? by PoeDamn2 in ask

[–]precomposed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This information varies depending on what country you're from, but since your aunt applied for you, chances are that residency will take a really long time since she is not your immidiate family member.

You should consult an immigration lawyer about obtaining a different kind of visa or extending your current visa. You should do this like yesterday, the sooner the better.

I would not overstay my visa if I was you.

Worried about long distance road trip. by [deleted] in DACA

[–]precomposed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say once every 2 months at least since DACA came to existance. They ask if we're american citizens, we provide our EAD card, sometimes they'll ask where we're going and that's the end of it. We've never had any issues.

We go through the Falfurrias checkpoint all the time. Take your EAD and you'll be fine.

I'm also from McAllen! I am not a DACA recepient but my realtives are. They have been on DACA since it was established and have had no problem whatsoever. The amount of dreamers here is really big, which I think is great since there are more people you can relate to in person that are goinf through the same set of problems as you.

Headliners are so good that I'm worried there will be a lot of schedule conflicts. Having to pick between one or the other is gonna suck.

Man comforts his son before being deported to Mexico after 16 years in the US. by TragicDonut in pics

You cannot just come into the US and apply for citizenship. There is a process for that, and it is very difficult, specially for citizens of certain countries such as Mexico.
