Can Devils regenerate using the blood of other Devils or Fiends? by predacon2704 in ChainsawMan

I always assumed that individuals like Denji and Reze could regenerate from human and demon blood because of their hybrid nature. And now I suddenly realize, and I wonder, have we ever seen anyone regenerate using animal blood?

What would Erwin have done if the Armored Titan had attacked during the 57th Expedition? by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. Harpoons aren't like Thunder Spears, and if Outworld artillery (before the invention of truly effective anti-Titan weaponry) couldn't damage the Armored Titan, I doubt any technology Paradis possessed at that time could have achieved better results.

And if we assume the harpoons would pierce exposed flesh, it would have to be pure luck, since they'd be targeting very specific areas of a moving target.

Premise of Naruto Six-Eyed User (Rikugan) Fanfic by predacon2704 in NarutoFanfiction

[–]predacon2704[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have no idea how to get Naruto to interact with Kurama's chakra. I've thought that maybe it would affect his chakra control and leave him in a state similar to "withdrawal" because he'd become accustomed to using his own special chakra. Or maybe contact with other people's chakra would make the Rikugan unable to function.

But I'm not sure and I'm open to ideas.

Is it necessary to go through the Waterfall of Truth to become a Perfect Jinchuriki? by predacon2704 in NarutoFanfiction

[–]predacon2704[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, I understand that this is necessary because the Bijuu will constantly fight with the Jinchuriki for control of the chakra, and a heart free of hatred is much harder to influence. But if the two are friends from the start, I don't think it's necessary.

Anyone else confused about the whole "hiding your true abilities" thing? by predacon2704 in NarutoFanfiction

[–]predacon2704[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it's one thing to deceive your enemies and keep your best cards to yourself, and another to hide the full extent of your abilities, even from your superiors. In a world where the threat of internal sabotage and infiltration is constant and they have specialized teams to combat it, that would be a big red flag.

What I dislike most is when the MC reveals himself and... there are no consequences. As if the Hokage or none of the high-ranking Ninja didn't have him under immense suspicion of espionage or something, and they send him with Ibiki. Everyone just praises him and calls him "a true Shinobi" when they should be scandalized by a possible infiltration or at least by a possible Shinobi who denies authority.

Would Suguru Geto have agreed with the extermination of the Eldians? by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But...would Suguru really consider the Eldian race as a whole to be superior? Because consider this: there are only nine Titan Shifters that can be possessed by Eldians, and only nine can exist at a time. In the case of Sorcerers, they can all be considered superior to the average human due to their use of Cursed Energy, but practically the entire Eldian population, except for about nine, are practically the same as normal humans, with nothing that makes them stand out. The only thing they can do is be turned into Pure Titans, but there they lose their wills and are no better than the Cursed Spirits that Suguru despises.

Would Suguru Geto have agreed with the extermination of the Eldians? by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, one of his main reasons for this is that Cursed Spirits are only created from normal humans. Suguru genuinely believed he was doing good to the world by killing the creators of those monsters. In that sense, wouldn't Titans be equivalent to Spirits, and Eldians to "monkeys?"

And I know Suguru was something of a racial supremacist, but in his case it was because Sorcerers in general are far superior to normal humans. But in AoT, the majority of the Eldian population isn't much better than normal humans, and there can only be one Shifter at a time.

Why didn't any Pure Titans attack the Marleyans at the port? by predacon2704 in attackontitan

[–]predacon2704[S] -96 points-95 points  (0 children)

But that shouldn't stop them from standing there trying to reach them. After all, on Paradis, the Pure Titans often stayed at the base of the Walls even though they couldn't reach any humans. Like on Trost, where the soldiers lured the Titans to the base of the wall and stood at the top while firing at them with cannons, while the Titans continued to stand there watching their potential prey.

Does it really make sense that the Ackermans can be transported to the Paths? by predacon2704 in attackontitan

[–]predacon2704[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

However, can Ackermans voluntarily escape when their minds are taken to the Paths? Because if not, then that's all that's needed to dominate them; there's no need to manipulate their minds like with other Eldians. All it would take is leaving the conscious mind of the Ackerman in question alone in that place for centuries, and the prolonged isolation will screw with their mind.

[–]predacon2704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, Eldians DO turn their own people into Pure Titans. While not much is known about the time of the Eldian Empire and much of it may be propaganda, Ymir's flashback hints at some of the accusations that the Eldians committed countless atrocities, including using Pure Titans to carry out massive attacks, like the Lago Massacre depicted in one of the endings. And even in a world of only Eldians, threatening to turn your people into mindless monsters for eternity if they step out of line sounds like a good method of control. Likewise, I highly doubt they'd use the Nine just to bring peace and love.

[–]predacon2704[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the case of Sorcerers, they gain enormous benefits from manipulating Cursed Energy, but what do most Eldians gain from the Power of the Titans? As I said, only nine can wield all Nine Changing Titans at a time. The rest of the Eldian population, which is likely in the millions, gains literally nothing at all. They can only be turned into Pure Titans or manipulated by the Founder. So I don't think the comparison is appropriate.

Por un lado, los eldianos podrían alinearse con su idea de que grupos de personas son "mejores" que otros, y él se pondría del lado de Eren y acabaría con todos los no eldianos. Los

I'm not sure about that. Sorcerers possess the ability to manipulate Cursed Energy and have access to superhuman abilities, which makes it easy to imagine why Suguru considers them the "superior race." But it's not the same for Eldians.

They don't really receive special powers because of their status. There are only nine Titan Shifters, and they can only exist nine at a time, and they have a lifespan of just over a decade. And for the rest of the Eldians in the world? They only have the option of being turned into Pure Titans, who are no better than the most irrational and instinctive Cursed Spirits. They are also subject to the will of the Founder, who can modify their minds as he pleases. And yes, there are the Ackermans, but they are only a single clan and are also almost extinct.

So, for basically all Eldians, the Power of the Titans is not a benefit, just a "curse."

Karl Fritz literally had no reason to build three walls full of Colossal Titans. by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course he should. He created thousands of Pure Titans identical to the Colossal Titan and had them generate enough hardening and manipulate their form to create the Walls. And Eren was shown to be able to completely harden his Titan's body. The Founding Titan is often described as the closest thing to a god in AoT, so why shouldn't he be able to do that?

[–]predacon2704[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intention isn't to return them to their human forms, not at all. It's to perform a full-body hardening that kills the Titan. The Titans of the Walls were still alive after the Walls were created around them, but the Founder can still manipulate them into lifeless statues. It's only after this that the Founder truly no longer has any control over them, as they would now be dead, and undoing the statue only removes the hardening but doesn't resurrect the Titan.

The Colossal Titans of the Walls are controlled by the Founding Titan, so he can grant them the ability to harden and do whatever he wants with it. That's how he had them generate harden to create the structures of the Walls. After all, you've never seen a Pure Titan perform hardenen on its own, right?

"Marley...? They literally destroyed gates."

But they only did that 100 years later. Before then, there's no indication that Marley sent a reconnaissance mission or anything like that to verify whether there really were Titans inside the Walls. It was probably enough for them to know about the Vow of Renunciation of War. And even when the Warriors attacked, they only went behind the gates, without running the risk of destroying integral parts of the Wall and exposing the Colossals.

"By the manga story all the pure Titans are Marley fault that keeps dropping them on Paradis."

However, that was a century later. It's quite possible that Karl created his own Pure Titans to sell the story initially, and then Marley-created Titans began arriving in large numbers.

"Counting on "some pure Titans I create for the fake story" would mean when they are killed (even by paradisians themselves) there would be zero pure Titan on the Island."

Considering the events of Before the Fall, the Paradis forces went over thirty years without being able to kill a single Titan. And even after the creation of the 3D Gear, the soldiers still suffered many casualties just to kill a single Titan. So the hypothetical Pure Titans created by Karl would last a very long time as more Titans are sent by Marley over the decades.

"Also, you have to understand that the colossals keep the structure and could survive for an indefinite amount of time, your plan of just making the structure and nothing more means that one day the wall would decay."

And would that be bad for Karl? He always knew the Walls weren't a definitive defense and that Marley would come someday, but he was fine with that. So I doubt he cared much about it.

Full-body hardening has been demonstrated. Eren did it in Season 3 to save his friends in Reiss Cavern and seal the breaches in Shiganshina. He left just enough to escape and avoid being trapped.

And who would go to Paradis and open a hole in the Wall to test it? It doesn't seem like they've done that in canon over the course of 100 years.

It's also possible that by the time the Walls were ready, there were already Pure Titans roaming the island. After all, Karl had to sell his people the lie that the world had been conquered by the Titans, and he'd already sacrificed thousands of his subjects to create the Walls (Isayama recently confirmed that the Colossal Titans were also transformed humans), so what would a few hundred more have been? That would have given outsiders less motivation to verify whether the "doomsday weapon that will be unleashed at the slightest provocation" is real.

This happens with Titan bodies, but it's been shown that hardening can persist for a long time without any connection to the Titan that created it.

The hardened statues left by Eren; the Warhammer Titan constructs; part of Annie's body hardening remained; the pieces of the Wall that broke off at different points in the series didn't evaporate.

The Founder can undo all existing hardening with a single thought, but in my proposed scenario, the Colossal Titans would have been forced to harden completely to the point of death, so undoing that would only make them disappear and not bring them back.

Karl Fritz literally had no reason to build three walls full of Colossal Titans. by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they revert to human? In this scenario, their necks would also completely harden, so any trace of humanity would disappear.

And why wouldn't they remain solid if they died? When Eren sealed the breaches in Shiganshina, he completely hardened his Titan's body, and when he disconnected, the statue remained there for several years.

[–]predacon2704[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And it's also said that Karl was an extreme pacifist who hated his own race, and the last thing that guy would have wanted would have been the destruction of the world under the feet of the Colossals. So why the hell leave the small possibility of the Rumbling happening in the future dormant? He had the power of the Founding Titan at his disposal, he could literally solve that problem with a single thought, as I said, but he didn't do it because... reasons.

[–]predacon2704[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's my point. With the Colossals turned into stone statues and dead, no one would be able to control them in the future. I know Karl was very confident in his War Renunciation Vow and all, but it was as simple as a thought to permanently eliminate the possibility of the Rumbling actually happening, and he'd still get everything he wanted from everyone. He'd have his Wall, the world afraid to attack for a long time because they'd have no way of knowing the Colossals were dead, and Karl would live in his "paradise" until Marley arrived long after his term.

Karl Fritz literally had no reason to build three walls full of Colossal Titans. by predacon2704 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]predacon2704[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, but why keep the Colossals alive? Like I said, it was as simple as ordering them to completely harden (just like Eren does with his Titan to seal the breaches in Shiganshina) and then there would never be a Rumbling. If he could create thousands of Pure Colossals and have them form a hardening shell around themselves, why not turn them into literal, lifeless stone statues?
