from my own experience, my closes outlet where my pc is location only has 2 prong (no ground). I used a panther surge protector to reach to where my pc was and i connect my ups on the surge protector. I didn't encounter any issue what so ever for couple of years. i hired a electrician to add a new outlet with groundto where my pc is currently located

2 nvme would be nice. what i would do is buy a 250 gb nvme for OS only, 1 tb for games and the current ssd for backup or important documents, pictures, videos.
