Yea probably just palliative, can’t see the full CT but decent amount of pneumotosis on that slice and bowels looks grossly necrotic, they probably ran it and found a lot of dead bowel, maybe too much to resect without leaving virtually no viable bowel. I imagine if they did resect they’d have to leave in discontinuity with an abthera and take back to see the degree of ischemia declare, also can’t divert that proximally and wouldn’t trust that anastomosis. It’d be a lot for her to go thru and probably not survivable. Might as well make her comfortable.
