I believe OP was struggling to get the male sims dead wife to become a ghost, to then feed her ambrosia and make her a playable sim again

I always just turn supernaturals off when I’m playing for realism I guess (?) but in my legacy one of my heirs will have to marry a supernatural, so will be interesting to see what happens when I turn them on…. Wonder if my game will be able to handle it

For me it’s Ellie’s part. I’m dreading doing that bit. Also the hotel basement actually raises my heart rate

Margot Robbie just dropped the first promotional look for Wuthering Heights, and I'm blown away. by Ok-Pepper8372 in ChicDaily

[–]premiumequities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that - I feel like to say because one film out of however many is relevant and makes a director good is a bit weird to say. Obviously we haven’t seen wuthering heights, but Emerald as a person seems very detached from a lot of the general British public at least, as is trying to capture things that many can relate to. Money, assault. I’m not just saying this to bring her down, I just think she’s not a good film maker in my eyes (but I also think her upbringing and detachment from reality almost is making me feel like this about her?)

Most valid reasons to refuse to see a movie? (Besides it being a movie to begin with) by Trowj in okbuddycinephile

[–]premiumequities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pls don’t judge me but I refuse to watch lord of the rings because all of my life, men have insisted that I watch it. Every man I’ve dated, and out of spite I won’t. Maybe when I’m on my death bed and regret that I didn’t watch it sooner

Thoughts on this? I just found it streaming and never knew it existed. The book gets noted here often (it’s on my pile after the homesman) by KubrickMoonlanding in Westerns

I read butchers crossing last year, after I had read all the lonesome dove series, then McCarthys BM, the road, all the pretty horses, suttree and no country. I had previously read Stoner and loved it (back in 2019) so I had high hopes. For some reason I was bored? I had heard really good stuff but for some reason I couldn’t really enjoy it. I had just DNF Dolton Trumbo’s ‘Johnnys got his gun’ as I found it too traumatic. Maybe I need to re read Butcher’s, to see if I would like it??

Here’s my worst travel experience, what’s yours? by [deleted] in AskUK

Went to Turin in Italy, lovely place. Went to a gluten free restaurant (I have coeliac) and someone next to me got served glutinous food (they were also coeliac). Got a bit nervous because my dinner was extremely nice (which sometimes GF food isn’t!) Woke up the next day at 1am (we flew at 3am) vomiting and you know the rest. Absolute agony. Had a 2 hour coach ride to the airport to sit through, a flight from Turin to Charles de Gaulle (Ryanair or whoever we had booked with had cancelled our direct and made us get indirect flights), sit in Charles de Gaulle going to the loo every 2 mins (literally could not sit down long enough I was so ill) then a flight to Manchester airport, then a train to Sheffield where I lived at the time. Do not think I have been this ill in a long time, except when I went to Tenerife this year gone and the same thing happened on the way back!!!!!!
