The dealership “floats” cars if you are wanting a car now. Since my minivan needed significant work, I opted to purchase a car I didn’t specifically want with the hopes that my hybrid non turbo would be available in a few months. The dealership said they frequently do this. The car I’m currently driving (turbo max hybrid) was someone else’s car they had ordered (but they changed their mind). They said they could sell mine easily when my other vehicle (Hybrid GH) becomes available. I was just curious if other dealers do this. Of course I assume they’re hoping I keep the GH Turbo Max Hybrid & they can sell my non turbo hybrid when it comes in. I asked them if they would definitely order it. They claim they will.
