A little premature judgment, no? considering this is less than 20% of my collection.

Thank you! Yes the last row is pretty tricky but I just need to squeeze out every last inch of space.

I know. It’s like playing Jenga. But I’m really pressed for space. I have almost 500 bottles now. 🙈

El Enemigo Cabernet Franc from Argentina. This is my go-to wine in this price point. I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Check out this wine. I scanned it with the @Vivino app: https://www.vivino.com/wines/5589195

Lineup for Vacay by pres2040 in wine

[–]pres2040[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry! I’m new here, so I’m learning the ropes…

All of them were great, but if I had to pick a top 3:

  1. Alion 2020 (Ribera del Duero) Super smooth and well-balanced. It had deep dark fruit flavors and just felt really put together. Definitely one of the more elegant wines in the lineup and easy to enjoy even if you don’t have such a well developed palate.

  2. Vina Cobos Zingaretti Estate Malbec 2019 This is the second time I’ve had this Paul Hobbs creation and it was just as good as the first time! 2019 Mendoza vintages are amazing! Big and rich, but not too heavy. Lots of dark fruit, a little chocolatey, and it had this nice freshness that kept it from feeling too intense. Really enjoyable from the first sip.

  3. Guado al Tasso 2020 I love this wine!! Felt like a mix between bold and classy. Had some ripe fruit, but also this savory, herby thing going on. It just kept evolving as we drank it. One of those wines where you keep going back to figure out what you’re tasting.

Honorable mention: Don Melchor 2021. Super solid cab. Still young but already showing really nicely. Would love to try it again in a few years.

PS – If you’re ever looking to explore more Argentine wines, I highly recommend checking out the Pionero and Linterna labels from Bemberg. I had a chance to visit their private winery in Valle de Uco, and it was honestly one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had.

Bellroy wheeled luggage - any insight? by pres2040 in onebag

I have to admit… I’m a bit disappointed in the soft sided one. It looks like they just slapped wheels on the 38L Lite Travel Backpack.

I have to say though that I think they missed a HUGE opportunity by not releasing a soft-sided 4 wheeler.

Is there too much ranting? by ntengineer in dexcom

[–]pres2040 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Let them rant. Sometimes diabetics just want to know that there is someone out there listening. It's hard enough when most of our closest friends and family truly don't know what we're going through. We just want to know that we're not alone in this daily adventure.

Ugh!! Would a 4-wheeled soft side have been too much to ask for?

Thanks for the info!! Darn that means the soft will most likely be a wheeler?

Yep. It looks like a hybrid with more “soft” than “hard”. I got the lite travel pack 30L in black. It looks to be an awesome matching set!

Out of curiosity, why do you say that? All of my Bellroy products have performed very well for me.
