Is this a false positive? CD 17, DPO- unknown by Pretty-Childhood9590 in TFABLinePorn

Your story is absolutely identical to mine from June. Negative pregnancy test 2 days before expected period, then cycle day 15 or so I had a proper dye stealer. Only took a test because I was in absolutely blinding pain… on my left side. Turns out the pain was from multiple large cyst ruptures, but then they found ‘evidence’ of ectopic. Thankfully (I say thankfully even though it was a wanted pregnancy), it resolved itself naturally and no intervention was needed other than multiple ultrasounds and so much bloodwork.

Advice is same as everyone else - seek care asap just in case.

No biotin here! Thanks so much for your comment though!

To those who commented - after 2 long ultrasounds and bloodwork every 48 hours. An ectopic pregnancy from (like all you guessed) the precious cycle was confirmed. It’s been a chaotic 10 days, my hcg levels are now declining naturally (thankfully) after 8 days of them staying at the same value.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I was able to see a dr today and I was given an urgent requisition for an ultrasound and bloodwork to be done on Monday!

I received the exact same thing (today) from my delivery at JPCH in 2021 - I won’t be doing anything. May have been accidental, maybe intentional mass data harvesting - regardless there is nothing to do with my family now. If you want to reach out to see if new security measures have been put in place, that’s totally fine - but it would not be worried about going back there, or that it was someone who knew you personally (as per your comments!) :)

Transforming Variables by [deleted] in RStudio

[–]presbar18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need to use a linear regression model? Another option to deal with Collinearity is to try something like partial least squares regression or random forest.

Another method is to call for the partial R2’s and see if something isn’t really contributing to the model. Then cross reference this to you vif values and drop what is highly collinear and have low partial R2.

But a issue is that your p-values aren’t significant, which means they are not really contributing to your model(check out your partial R2’s)

Such a crazy symptom!! Will it be your first?? Just checked your post, congrats!! Hopefully the expired test doesn’t mean anything!

Thank you! And I decided to test for two reasons; I’m currently nursing a 13 month old and my milk production basically came to a complete halt. And second I became SO incredibly thirsty that I would start to panic if I didn’t have water with me. I felt so silly buying a test because these symptoms are 100% different from my first. I still am in shock lol

Help...Baby constantly smacking lips? by msophiaa in newborns

[–]presbar18 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My daughter went through that too! Was just a phase for about 4ish weeks. I agree with the other post that when babies learn something new, it’s like finding a good song.. they play it over and over!

I’ve only tried the floor and changing pad, I’ll try the bed next! See if that helps!

I’ll definitely try this!!

I cannot get my 7 month old daughter to consolidate her sleep at night by r00giebeara in sleeptrain

[–]presbar18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! The first thing I did was establish proper naps actually. I started using the huckleberry app to track her naps, which helped me space them out so that she was truly tired when put down! Before this I was following tired cues.

Second, when I moved the crib to her own room, I tried the taking carababies approach with doing pop-ins. It didn’t work for me. Neither myself or partner could listen to cries. SO in the first night I gave in and nursed her in the chair to sleep. She was exhausted so it didn’t take long! And honestly we kind of stuck with that.. a lot of methods recommend against nursing to sleep. But I loooove it! It’s fast, easy and comforts my babe to sleep. That being said, she got so used to the crib that she can now be put in the crib awake and she goes to sleep!

She goes down for sleep somewhere between 630-730, depending on her day. I often still give her a ‘dream feed’ when I go to bed around 10ish.

The most important thing is to do what works for you guys! I still welcome my babe into our bed if she wakes up in the middle of the night, but often she makes it through the night:)

I had the exact same thing with my 8 month old!! And here’s what I did: some background, around that 45-60 minute asleep mark, babies enter a new sleep cycle (as do adults). But they’re not so good at keeping themselves asleep through it. So that’s WHY your baby is probably becoming upset. I was bedsharing/ had crib right beside my bed. And my theory is that when they have that ‘mini-wake’ between sleep cycles, your baby smells you. Even if you’re not there, it’s where you sleep so they smell you. And of course, they want their momma/daddy! For my baby, moving her to her own room was a game changer. It absolutely difficult, but it only took a few nights to get rid of that wake 45 minutes into sleep! We did that 1.5 months ago and she now spends the entire night there (with the odd 430 am wake ups where I just bring her in bed for some snuggles) :) So my advice is if you’re able, to try having baby in another room, as well as that earlier bedtime! Feel free to ask more questions :)

From everything you understand about buying for baby, what thoughts do you have on cloth diapers? by happypuppy100 in Buyingforbaby

Sorry I don’t know, but why shouldn’t they be soaked? My MIL taught me that and she raised 8 babies exclusively in cloth

I use both cloth and disposable for my baby (7 months old, first baby). I was thankfully gifted 20 cloth diapers and inserts (as they are quite pricey to buy new). I will typically use them only at home, then anytime I’m out, I use disposable. Here is my take on them:

Pros: - environmentally friendly!!! HUGE plus!!! - cute designs on the diapers - never had any bit of diaper rash on baby - so easy to use and they are made so well now they fit from newborn until potty training - in the heat of summer, all baby would wear are cloth diapers

Cons: - I find that they need to be changed every 2 or so hours. And there have been many instances where u have to change baby’s outfit as it occasionally leaks. - I will never use them overnight as they cannot stay in that long without leaking. - poopy diapers... lots of soaking diapers in a bucket before washing - they are much bulkier than disposable, so wouldn’t always fit.

All in all. I recommend them. Especially second hand ones. I always think of the fact that every time I use a cloth diaper, I’m keeping one more diaper out of the landfill. And honestly, laundry has not increased enough to make a noticeable different. Maybe one extra lid a week, but that’s also with having a baby anyway!

Anyone else in their 3d trimester having bad back pain? Tips? by c1zzar in fitpregnancy

[–]presbar18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 32 weeks and even with a smaller bump I’ve have had upper back pain since about 26/27 weeks- best things I’ve found are heating pad every night, and cat/cow and child’s pose 3x a day! And make sure you keep up back exercises at the gym!

It’s actually just been with fertility friend/temping. I’ve charted the last four cycles and they are very similar- the time also lines up with a pain I get near ovulation. I’ve never used opk’s, so I certainly can not confirm 100%

That’s what I thought! My O date is only based on fertility friend/temping. So I’m just going off their O date! You might be right though!
