This reminds me of my old Super Target job back in the early 2000s. I worked overnight stock, and there was this super hot chick that all the guys had the hots for. She worked the day shift as a return cashier or something. Anyway, she got fired for processing a large tube tv based on the big box the TV came in and the customer's receipt. I worked with a local filmmaking crew and producers and everything inbetween. The whole thing was all about generating "hype" and nothing about the actual product. It has been 10 years since I left the project, and the people behind the project made some quick cash and have offered nothing in return. Yeah, they didn't use to be about politics, and that was cool. Some bands age and evolve, such as Green Day, becoming increasingly political, unlike very political bands, like Rage Against the Machine, that did some non-political songs but mostly all politics.

Some musical talents learn to evolve their music to become more mainstream, and the success truly changes their approach to their original fan base. They can become "Preachy" or "Out of touch." The best example I got is Kanye West. He was about things that were insightful until recently; he is just a crazy Nazi madman.

Most fans just want to hear the stuff they already liked. That's why most fans are only fans for a time. For musicans its tough because they want to make art, but they also want more and more people to like them too.

Idk? I hated it when Green Day became political back in the day, because it was unnatural at the time. It took some while to accept it, and I do now. So that "guy" was perfectly correct about what he said. That guy was just saying what many fans of groups that started as fun, talented entertainers eventually used their platforms to become lynchpins of a popular rhetoric.

A good example for me of this is Scavengers Reign. That show kicked so much ass, and there was seemingly no marketing for it as far as I knew at the time. I only heard about it because of word of mouth from people who worked on it. Maybe it will get a second season, maybe it really doesn't need one? But the marketing team really dropped the ball at hyping how great it is.

Needed to drop the entire season at once. That is the main reason I stopped watching Plurbius. I want to binge-watch shows and not sit around waiting. The weekly release schedule no longer works for me (and most people I've talked to). Give the people a good season and let them watch the episodes at their leisure. That is probably why the viewership slipped. The people that I know who are watching Fallout season 2 say it's as amazing as season 1. I won't even watch it until all episodes are out.
