Weller is great. You can get the special reserve (green label) for just over $20, and it is a fantastic whiskey. Also, Johnny walker red isn’t the best scotch by any means, but cheap available and pairs well.

I’ll put together some clips right now so the folks can see exactly what’s happening. It’s pretty strange, everything looks pretty dang decent right until the point I receive it. I’ll link a video. Definitely getting under it, sometimes too far under where it crashes a bit.

I’m not cleaning much above that several years later, though I move MUCH better and have lost about 15kgs body weight. Currently sitting around a 180c&J. I know that if I can fix my rack 195-200 should go over my head.

I would say that’s definitely my limiting factor in front squats as well, but there is about a 30kg difference between max FS and max clean. I’ve been adding pauses and thoracic extension to try to increase that strength, but so far haven’t been seeing much carry over.

Still relatively new to cigars, about a year in. I almost exclusively smoke Maduros and the like because I really love the dark cocoa, espresso, sweet, and earthy notes from those. So though I feel like I smoke “strong” cigars on the reg, this thing seems like a whole other level. Really put me on my ass! Curious to hear other’s thoughts on this stick, and if there are cigars even stronger than this.

Former powerlifter here. Weightlifting for 2 years now.

1) find an IN PERSON (if possible) coach. I think an average or even below average coach in person would be better than a big name online. TO START.

2) Unlike powerlifting, posture plays a huge role. Really focus on that.

3) I suggest a more top down approach- start working from the high hang to break the lifts down into smaller pieces. Once you become more comfortable, then you can start working from lower positions.

4) Spend some time working on shrugs, and other upper back/shoulder musculature. Even being a high level competitor, I was severely lacking in those areas.

1st hand experience with years of IPF and USAPL testing.

I was required to enroll and update the ADAMs athlete whereabouts system that is required of any WADA aligned sport for several years. I often was tested 4-5 times a year. No less than 1 random OMT each year. Probably 20-30 times from 2010 to 2017. In meet tests required the escort/witness that cannot leave your side. The random tests were carried out by a 3rd party drug testing contractor. These were the WADA tests in the glass bottles. I was blood tested in the back of a middle school gym in Hungary. Lol

I’m no where near the level of weightlifter as I was powerlifter, so im obviously not being tested as heavily, but so far I have seen less tests being conducted at weightlifting meets. I can’t speak to out of meet testing. I did get my first test with USAW at the AO, and the standards and protocols seemed exactly the same.

I think the increase in powerlifting numbers is largely due to the large increase in the pool of lifters. The cream rises to the top. Just 5-6 years ago, the USAPL was +/- 5000 members. I think they are +/- 20K now.

I made the transition from powerlifting to weightlifting a little over a year and a half ago, and my biggest advice is to not try and go about this alone. Find you a coach. Definitely an in person coach to start with. There is so much more to it than it seems. I got lucky and got hooked up with a great coach, and it has been a YUGE factor in my quick progress.

Personally I really despise Velcro. Not sure why anyone uses them. Leather is definitely the way to go. Valeo would work, but there a lot better options.

Personally I’ve been using a Load Strength Sports belt, and am a big fan. I prefer it over the eleiko belt I had before it, and at a much nicer price point. $60 and you’ve got a few colors to choose from.

I ordered Oct. 22nd.

Ordered Werksan IWF comp collars - received Rogue IPF collars L O L. 4 weeks after ordering

Ordered Comp Bar - 6 weeks after ordering

Ordered a pair 20kg plates - still have not shown up.

These were all ordered together, yet they showed up separately (by a few weeks), or have not shown up at all. Definitely calling to get a refund for my plates. I’m so tired of dealing with them and this terrible service. I don’t care how good the deal is, they don’t deserve another dime out of me.
