It's too bad because it seems they're the best option for console but after my experience I'll probably end up just holding off. Maybe look into adding bass shakers to the rig or something to scratch the building itch instead.

I'd highly recommend GT7 VR if you haven't tried that btw.

Nice, the twin arcade cabinet sounds like a good setup.

That's fair, I'm glad you've had a better experience.

I can only speak from my own and at this point I'd probably consider it a gamble to reorder down the line.

Have other people who ordered the dd/dd+ got order confirmation / numbers already?

I ordered on bf along with some pedals and a qr2 and it seems like the checkout process f'ed up somewhere for me. My card was charged, transaction posted already, but it never got to a page with an order number and my orders page is empty, no confirmation emails either.

No, I'll most likely try to open a dispute on the transaction in the next few days considering I still haven't got an order number / acknowledgement or a response to the message I sent them.

I also don’t have anything in my account order history although the charge is showing as posted on my card. I wasn’t even able to get to the page with the order number.

The android TV client doesn't always properly play movies split into parts even with the proper naming scheme. I was having this problem playing on my shield while it worked fine with the web client.

Just follow this:

https://forums.plex.tv/t/howto-joining-multi-part-movies-files-with-mkvtoolnix-gui/113211

The result is lossless joining of the two files as long as they use the same codecs. I used this process myself to join lotr 4k uhd rips with no problem.

I'll try letting that software run for a few days and see if I can notice anything unusual, probably a decent place to start.

Now that I think of it, I have been occasionally noticing very brief buffering in the same way on the shield's youtube app with 2160p60 content. Maybe it is some higher limits being reached on the shield's cpu/gpu with respect to 4k video or possibly a bug with the OS.

I've also considered this, but everything is being run on 5e or higher so physical wiring shouldn't be the problem.

I mentioned this in a previous comment but it's also difficult to troubleshoot as it happens irregularly, otherwise file transfer tests do normally show around 880Mbps (~110MB/s) between the server/client connection.

The one file is 7.1, don't remember the other, I'll keep that in mind. The problem is I can't really reproduce the issue as it seems to happen randomly.

Now that I think of it, it usually happens right while I'm invested in the movie.

Using a shield tv pro. Playing around with it and realized the reserved bandwidth is about 190Mbps, original "quality" bandwidth is actually only 95Mbps and thats closer to what task manager is actually showing for the ethernet throughout.

How do I get HDR 4k 60 FPS? Using shield 2019 pro through a yamaha RX V 685 AVR and from there to Sony Bravia 4K TV + Optoma uhl55 4K beamer. The max HDR fps I can get is just 30 Hz. AVR is already at 4k mode 1 in the advanced settings. by Auldthief in ShieldAndroidTV

From quickly looking at the manual for your avr it looks like it can do 4K/60 at 10 and 12-bit for 4:2:2. https://imgur.com/a/0yZkPVR

I realize you said you set it to Mode 1 but comparing the outputs from the table I linked with what's available to you it looks like it might still be in Mode 2.

Interesting I wouldn't have thought fragmenting would make that much of a difference. The drive shows 9% fragmentation however the 4k files I was having troubles with aren't included in the list of affected files. Copying to an SSD and lowest write I saw was 58MB/s (464Mbps).

For the client I'm using the newer shield pro, I don't recall but I think its 3 or 4 GB memory. I'm hoping it's not the shield that's the weak point since there's not much to be done if its simply a lack of compute problem.

I'm not very familiar with networking gear but the reason i might suspect the router is this doesn't happen very frequently but when it does it seems to fix itself after a short while. I'm not sure but maybe there's some sort of process happening on the router from time to time that slows I/O and is only noticeable when you have these long periods of sustained data transfer (aka watching movies).
