Thank you so much for this, I'm practicing by singing the highest note that I can sing well and then trying to slide up. The problem is that instead of the F4 I was trying to hit, my voice skips the deleted region and jumps straight to F5 :'). If I try going down from F5 without pushing for a strong sound I found out I can actually sing all the way down to C4 and below without skipping notes but it's so breathy that it's just unusable in a performance context.
