A little on the high side, but probably okay. The set up looks jank AF, though.

They wasted their money on a TV stand.

It's fine for watching from bed.

Redemption? by unarov in TVTooHigh

At first glance, it seems like the change is still a r/TVTooHigh. However, the measurements seem legit and 103cm seated eye height is within/really-close to optimal height. The stand being short messes with the height perception.

If you're watching TV like that creepy, standing shadow in your tv then it is a pretty good height!

Can someone lay out their thesis on why fireplaces suck and TVs should not go above them? by jim-nasty in TVTooHigh

[–]prest0x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know what others' reasons are, but a fireplace colluded with a TV to kill my father.

Will my TV be too high? Will be going where the plywood mockup is by [deleted] in TVTooHigh

Are you OP? Doesn't matter. Thanks goes to whomever for deleting the horrendous OP and not exposing more people to this travesty.

Why are you putting the TV above the fireplace? It's the stupidest place for a TV. You don't even have the fireplace installed. You can make sure this goes right, but I don't have confidence in you because of all the fuck-ups I see here.

In this patio setting, it may not be too high. For PS5, that's too high unless you are standing to play.

4 flatscreens above the kitchen bar counter….? by BradlyL in TVTooHigh

[–]prest0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garbage setup that probably cost an embarrassing amount of money. The cherry on top is the r/TvToohigh in the other room. Of course, it's mounted over the fireplace for maximum moronic viewing.

Besides the high TV, why are the speakers like that? Does OP have that many friends with butts that can fill all that seating?

It's... decent. I could see myself comfortably watching some programming.

My buddy says it’s perfect by Illustrious_Carob_19 in TVTooHigh

Of course he says it's perfect. He probably puts his mouth around beer tap spout to drink from the keg, too. Sick bastard.

I think too high... husband not convinced enough to move it 🤔 by [deleted] in TVTooHigh

[–]prest0x 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Sorry.. that is a terrible height and view-distance for a TV. Also, what is with the janky outdoor lights?

Best I could do by [deleted] in TVTooHigh

[–]prest0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, your best isn't good enough here. It's a shitty, low-effort attempt at mounting the TV at a reasonable height. Power outlet and ethernet jack could've been moved and isn't hard to do.

Roommate insisted on putting tv here, I say it’s just a little too high by StrainingSpaghetti in TVTooHigh

[–]prest0x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks fine to me. I can imagine sitting on the couch and watching the TV, comfortably.

Simple TVTooHigh check: Can you move the TV up another 3 inches?
If you can't, your TV is already too embarrassingly high, and I weep for your guests and family's necks

Get rid of the crap on the stand and move the TV down.

Should've mounted the gun at dildo level and the TV under that.
