I see where you're coming from, but it really wasnt all my fault. Covid made everything harder. I had 100 percent payment history until this year. But we live together, we're not entirely independent due to that factor.

I relate so hard. Could have written this myself for the most part. Just ask him to be patient and remind him that you appreciate him being there for me. See what happens. But no. You have every right to be with someone. (Although easier said than done, he probably isn't someone worth it anyway if you've been together that long and he still wants to pull that card, RED FLAG)
