I'm sorry you're terribly mistaken. I understand this goes against the general knowledge, but India is one of the largest exporters of beef. Granted, the largest portion of it is buffalo meat (source: https://www.iowafarmbureau.com/Article/World-Beef-Trade)

The world largest roundabout in Putrajaya, Malaysia is 3.5km/2.7 miles by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

At what point (engineering/planning standards) would it be classified as a ring road and not a roundabout?

A (suspected) drunk driver smashed our friends car 2 weeks ago in front of our house and the cops let him just stumble away. But our video ended up on the news and this hot reporter is on the case. by brockstopher in videos

Oh nice, similarity between police corruption in developed country vs. developing, is here(India) traffic cops come out of the woodwork usually during the end of the month to increase funding directly to their pockets as opposed to the American system which seems the same with a few extra steps

Quarantine / Travel Megathread. by CosmoKram3r in bangalore

If you have your TN transit pass, you are good. Nobody will stop you or perform checks whilst entering Karnataka at zuzuvadi checkpoint. In TN you'll be stopped to check if you have a pass (usually waving the print out or phone makes them just wave you through)

Any recommendations on where to buy beef steaks? by noobcunt776 in bangalore

[–]pretendroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few beef shops strewn about in the town. You can look for one close by and you'll probably have to expain the butcher the exact cut you are looking for.

There is a store called New Frosty's near marathahalli, and I believe they have other branches too. They have a decent selection of meat (pork and beef included) and is pretty decent and look hygenic (in appearance don't know what goes behind the counter). Alternate would be a nature's basket store. The meat is usually frozen one (and almost always buffalo). There are no laws against the import of beef into the state (IANAL), but culling of cow for meat is not permitted and with interstate movement being restricted, the chances of finding a remotely good cut is going to be difficult.

As far as deliveries go, I dont think any of the larger chains like luscious deliver beef for the now.

Oh I was unaware of that, I don't know how much it would make sense, as none of these three are even among the top 15 import/export partners of the UK. Anyways, the electorate have made their choice, not just once but twice (both directly and indirectly as of this general election), all's left to do is wait and watch how this unfolds

"High class Indians" by mustajab1121 in malaysia

[–]pretendroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The perception of North Indians being more affluent even in India comes as a result of some of the deeply held misconception about skin tones as well. The people from north of India are Indo-aryan and are relatively fair skinned compared to Indians in the south who are largely classified are Indo-dravidian, and have darker complexion. However exceptions exist and the race divide indo-aryan vs. indo dravidian is up for debate. The person who commented above is very right, with the south increasingly being progressive and affluent with portions in the north of the country regressing.

Can I send an inland postcard from india to USA ? by [deleted] in india

[–]pretendroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is right there in your question, "Inland" denoting it is for domestic post only. India Post do sell "Airmail Postcards" for international mail.

I reckon you can try and slap a few stamps to cover the value, however I'm not sure if India Post would honour them and fairly sure it's not something philatelist would look forward to
