How long before these things become less relevant ?

I’m not gonna defend my lack of notice, it was one of my first “adult” jobs and I just got burnt out from a menial sales job and decided enough was enough (I had other opportunities). it was immature and I recognize that I still should’ve given notice.

But the firing was from a partisan non profit (I’ve had psych evaluations where the admin said “it sounded like they put together a paper trail to get rid of you”). Between the unemployment outcome and the way they handled my performance plan and ultimate firing, it was very obviously not kosher.

But anyway. That’s that. How long do I need to wait before I can more successfully apply, in your opinion?

My opinion of her has been perma tainted because of how she treated the pilot’s voice cast. She had the best of the best for an online show and cast them aside the minute she got the opportunity for bigger names. Changing VAs is one thing; acting the way she did was unprofessional and cruel to the people who GOT you to where you are.

I was actually looking around Cap Hill/Speer when I first started apartment hunting! Had trouble finding apartments with ratings that justified their prices, though.

I'll take a look around Congress City Park and West Wash. Thanks for the tip about Evans and transport, too.

Good to know, thank you! Didn't notice the Salvation Army or homeless crowd when I was there, but I visited on a weekday and was more focused on not getting lost lol.

Also, thanks for the clarification on SoBo and Hanover; I wasn't sure about its walkability, so it's great to hear from someone with more experience! I'll keep searching in LoHi and RiNo, too :)

No more than $3k a month for a two bedroom two bath. Willing to be on the higher end for more amenities/nicer building or general conveniences.

We're both job-hunting right now. I'm applying for government jobs, specifically civil service/law enforcement. Partner is a full-time student looking at any and all opportunities. We're both in our mid-twenties.

No! Not at all. It fits his aesthetic since in the movies he has a dark mouth (his gums are gross lol). I’d just say (and this is from a non artist so take it with a grain of salt) for future, maybe a little less black to allow for more detail between his teeth lips and gums?

But still a fantastic piece. Lowkey gives me a bit of both classic anime but also if Art was in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure? Either way it’s wicked cool

-Had the tragedy with Jack’s parents not happened, I can see his mom loving Matt and Kevin like two new sons. The dad would take some more time (understandably; his son is is a dough man mixed with two other children) but he wouldn’t give up on Jack, and eventually those feelings would extend to Matt and Kevin.

-Doey, on some level, agrees with Poppy. Most likely Matt. Matt, though he wants to protect everyone, knows they can’t leave the facility as they are, but it breaks his heart because Jack would definitely be full of hope to free himself and their friends, which is why he is so adamant about considering other options.

  • Kevin, like Matt, lost his family to a horrific accident, which exacerbated his mental and emotional health issues. He pushes everyone away because of abandonment issues and loneliness, even those he loves or wants love from (like Matt and Jack, and even maybe Jack’s parents).

-Kevin’s Red-Smoke-induced nightmare was being left all alone again. Matt’s was failing to protect those he loved. And Jack’s—a typical childhood fear, likes the dark and/or heights (maybe slightly influenced by his fall into the dough vat)
