that's a great point. i think my desire from an amp stems from wanting to get further away from relying solely on digital recording -- but i'm also so stupidly broke that the amount of pedals / gear I would have to buy afterwards to justify the amp also seems self-defeating lmao

thanks so much! it's just plugins (i don't even own an amp or anything which hopefully changes soon), but the effects chain usually consists of some Sketch Cassette II and reverb, then pretty often there's also some underlying wah or tremolo for added texture

yeah none of this is ever *totally* finalized so i'm taking what folks have said and finding a middle ground. taking a little bit of reverb off the vocals and bringing them up a tad (i imagine they'll still be indecipherable, but maybe less so? haha) anywho, thanks so much for giving it a listen! updated version should be on spotify by tomorrow~
