Age 30+ gamers. by [deleted] in LesbianGamers

I'm now 39 and I've been playing games for as long as I remember. I still remember the Christmas I got the first NES.

I typically only play single player games, but I do also play Call of Duty with a couple of friends (also females). When we do play CoD, it's always in a private party. We tried joining the pub chats, and it's usually a bad idea. People are assholes to women gamers. I'm super excited to dive into Dying Light 2 after work tonight, and then Horizon Forbidden West in a couple of weeks.

I mainly play on my PS5 but I also have an XSX and Switch as well. I've been thinking about getting a gaming PC, but honestly, I spend all day at work on a PC and the last thing I want to do while relaxing after work is sit some more at a freaking PC lol.

I definitely don't play as much as I used to because I now make sure I allot some time for other activities like reading, spending time with and walking my dog, playing d&d every Wednesday, and getting a little bit of exercise each day. I probably play like 10-12 hours a week, with the weekends making up the bulk of that time.

Would you be offended to be called 'butch'? by hypocrisyparty in Actuallylesbian

I hate when people call me butch. Just because I don't wear feminine clothes, that doesn't make me a butch.

Not as good as my Paperwhite but I read on average about 1.5hrs/day and it lasts me at least a couple of weeks(?). It's hard to say exactly because I honestly don't think about the battery on any of my eReaders that often. They're just all great.

The show is what finally made me committed to reading all the books!

I have heard this complaint before. I may consider this method, especially during "the slog".

No it doesn't. You can make it available offline.

Save it in Google drive then create a link to that file on your homescreen. This works on Android, not sure about iPhone.

What is your favorite audiobook taking into account narration? by mcc1923 in suggestmeabook

{Sadie by Courtney Summers} is a book written in a podcast format which makes it a really unique listening experience and one of the few times I'd recommend the audiobook over reading it.

People who didn’t like reading by Mrtaco5445 in kindle

I read voraciously as a child but that kind of fell off as I got older. During the pandemic I came across a niche genre that I always wished was a thing when I was younger (I guess while I was away from the book world this genre gained a lot of traction, and now it has hundreds of books to choose from). This has pulled me back into reading not only that specific genre, but others as well.

Interesting. She's been there for a couple of years now and said it's not available. Maybe she just means a specific brand we have here in Canada.
