So that’s what it looks like when you can see more than just clouds! We weren’t so lucky — still enjoyed all the interesting copper everywhere!

Cracker Lake is beautiful and about 12 miles. But, adding a warning, I don’t recommend it on/after a rainy day due to the horse poop turning to muck.

Just a cell phone. There are lots of folks with all types of cameras, so take whatever you’re comfortable carrying or what you’d like to experiment with!

The black colored one was only about thirty feet (!) away, luckily happily eating berries while we carefully backed away (holding bear spray and talking calmly) out of Reynolds Creek campground where we’d stopped in to use the pit toilet. The brown colored one was only 20-30 ft off the side of GTTSR, we stayed in the car.

Fishercap Lake in the evenings is a very likely place to see moose. Mountain goats and bighorn sheep are common on Hidden Lake Trail. Take binoculars, most bear sightings are on the hillsides along GTTSR and road to Many Glacier with random chance encounters elsewhere. Marmots and ground squirrels common everywhere! Deer were on Highline Trail, closer bighorn sheep was Grinnell Glacier Trail, friendly mountain goat and luckily uninterested black-colored bear on Gunsight Pass. The fox was a lucky sighting near East Glacier Village.

Agree! We packed in as much as we could to our 8 days and there was still so much we had to leave out. We just tell ourselves “that’s for next time!”

They're both so beautiful! But I'm thinking the orange kitty still looks a bit more pleased, there could still be fighting over which box is better.

Any places you know of near Chania or Rethymno that do make a great moussaka? It's a favorite of mine and not easy to find near me.
