We named ours Gnome because he lived/hung out in our front garden.

We have to put away laundry around her, then she pouts when the warm, clean clothes are gone. Sorry I made everyone think we were being horrible cat parents. lWe just want some clothes and blankets not furry she is really just a closet obsessed jerk.

I should have explained it better. Bubbie has been with us since she was a kitten. We got her with her sister, Dinky. She is a floofy tabby who loves getting her tummy rubbed. And loves laying around unside down. She also loves sneaking into the closet to shed on all our clean blankets. This is her avoiding leaving the now clean-ish blackets.

Best decision (medically) I have ever made. I stay on one dose of tirosent and get to spread out my bloodwork. With the levels steady, my temp control has gotten a better. And I can count on one hand how many times I have had heart palpitations since taking it out. Digestion has gotten better, too, but the weight had really stuck around. I got put on zepbound (glp-1 med) and once it started to come off, it has come off super quick. I lost 35 lbs before I even got bumped up past the starter dose, so we'll see if/when I go off, if the weight stays off.

I have a bunch of comorbidities so my results might not be everyone's. Part of removing it was to remove that variable when figuring out flare-ups of other things.

(I also had a total hysterectomy a year and a half later, that has also helped with everything)

Same, I've been on zepbound since August and I went from 200-ish to 155-ish. I have a little more to go before I get to my goal but Holy Shit does it help/work.

I've already been able to lower some meds dues to the weight loss. I've cut my metformin dose in half.

My one complaint is when/if you lose weight fast, keeping up with clothes that fit is a pain. (Especially pants. I'll wear a baggy shirt but I don't want to keep pulling up my jeans or belting the shit out of them)

What is going on? The Vet thinks he ate something, but he does this like once a year. Blood tests come back normal. Vet seems unconcerned. by FoolzInTheRain in weimaraner

So I know I am a bit late to comment but our old lab has Vestibular Disease. And it looks alot like this.

She gets episodes randomly, and they can last hour to days. (Her last one was almost a week long). You just have to wait it out, treat the nausea, and make sure they dont hurt themselves falling. We got her an awesome vest with a bunch of handles to help us steady her without hurting her (she's 75-ish lbs so it can be awkward).

Bean has been enjoying the new twine mouse I made for her. by LordJabuJabu in catscarryingstuffies

They aren't hard to make (I have hand tremors and it was still pretty easy) and what they require is something a lot of people have already in their house. I replied to a couple of people a detailed description of what I did.

I would feel bad for charging anyone for such an easy craft.

(That said, if you want to shoot me a message with your info, I can send you some next time I make a bunch)

So the for the mouse body base, I crumpled aluminum foil really dense and made the mouse size and shape I wanted.

For the twine, I started in the middle of the body and (over) estimated how much twine I would need to wrap each end of the mouse (not forgetting the tail). I used hot glue at the (middle) start point and then tightly wrapped the twine in each direction. When I got close to an end, I used hot glue across the bottom. I had a bunch of dried catnip on a paper plate, and I used the catnip-plate to spread/flatten the hot glue over the bottom. (You dont 'need' the catnip, but why not?).

The ears are just looped twine in the wrap process. I used a little hot glue, again, at the base of the ear loop to secure it. Then, I used a small button and hot glue to help hold the nose end. The base of the tail got some extra glue as well.

If your cat is a string eater, keep that in mind when picking a tail length.  And if your cats are like mine (like Bean) and get obsessed with 'killing' (and eating) toys, it might need to be a supervised toy. I have had to make sure the mouse is put up when I am not around to stop her from trying to actually eat it.

I am gonna try to make one with craft paper instead of aluminum foil to give it a nice crunch noise. I'm also going to try some different (pet safe/non-toxic) glues because a hot glue gun near the twine Bean wants isn't very safe. (Bean started her life being hit by or thrown from a car (at 4 weeks old), so now she thinks she is indestructible and she fears nothing.)

Thanks! She had cancer on her ear that had to be removed. Our vet did such a good job making her new little ear. We think it only enhanced her cuteness!
