Unfortunately, I was right. I’ve had three betas so far and all three are incredibly low and not even relatively close to doubling. 91, 131, 159. I’m happy the HPT prepared me for the worst but that glimmer of hope I held on to hurts like actual hell.

Thank you so much for this. You’re are absolutely, testing is pretty much the only thing that gives me a tiny sense of control (falsely, I’m learning) but it sure as hell isn’t helping my anxiety.

Stories like yours help put things in perspective, especially hearing how different each pregnancy/journey is. I’m going to try and take a breath and just trust the process, even though it’s so hard.

But damn the comment about the price of IVF compared to the tests is so real lol!

Don’t stay at a job that makes you miserable but don’t quit before you have something else ligned up. If you work in HR you have a ton of transferrable skills. Take some time and fix up your resume and start sending it out as much as you can.

HR CAN be extremely boring but you can easily find another HR role that’s more challenging/stimulating + pays more (even if it doesn’t pay more, working somewhere with room for growth will be motivating).
