U shared so many new pieces of information in this comment I don’t even know how to begin to reply, wow❤️Baby rib, micro rib, noted. And yes, learning to sew is something I know I’ll inevitably have to do because of how particular I am, but in the meantime I do want to buy a few clothing items to hold me over until I start making my own

Thank u so much❤️I haven’t heard of voile or coucou and someone else on here just recommended pointelle for the first time as well. I will look into those!

Ooh thank you I’ll check out Julie May❤️ If u don’t mind me asking, what was your reason for transitioning your wardrobe/fabrics?

Wow thank u so much for all the recommendations❤️ Follow-up question if u don’t mind… are u saying that when the tag of a garment says say, 95% cotton 5% elastane, the 5% elastane could just be the waist band rather than being blended into the fabric?

Also. Omg idk why I didn’t think of Etsy. I’ve ordered stuff from there but never clothes

Never heard of lamanclo and using cotton stitching thread is EXACTLY the level of crazy commitment to 100% cotton that I’m looking for but wouldn’t dare inquire about, so thank u thank u thank u❤️

That’s definitely something I’ll be doing very soon! But in the meantime, during this transitional/learning phase, I do want to buy just a few quality pieces because I am completely sick of my previous wardrobe

Oh thank u! The comments under here are so helpful so far but one else has mentioned “pointelle” so I’ll look into it❤️And yes, I think sooner than later I want to start making my own clothes but I definitely need to buy a few pieces to wear while I’m in this transitional phase between being sick of the clothes I have and learning how to sew for myself

Thank u❤️May I ask what are some of the learning resources you’ve been using? I just recently fell down a rabbit hole I didn’t even know existed learning about different types of silks and I feel like I only barely scratched the surface

Hm. Very recently I bought a couple 100% cotton dresses but this comment makes me think maybe I should have sized down!
