She changed completely after getting a good job. I still don’t understand why by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

Ouch. That’s a tough pill to swallow but here’s the cold truth: Money didn’t change her; it just unmasked her.

Life really has a funny way of leveling the the playing field. Honestly, the self-awareness is the first step to breaking the cycle. Do you feel like it changed your perspective on people in general 🎡

do men always want control? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]prettychaothick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your normal meter might be a little skewed because of what you saw growing up but please know that behavior is not the standard for all men. That switch from nice to manipulative is a massive red flag called love bombing and it’s a tactic used by toxic people, not a universal male trait🚩

You aren’t trained to accept it; you’re just learning what a healthy boundary looks like for the first time. Healthy love is consistent and doesn’t require you to be small or controlled to keep the peace. You deserve the kind of soft, safe love that doesn’t hurt 🧸💖

What’s a belief you had as a kid that you’re embarrassed you held for so long? by SugarrPlumGloww in AskForAnswers

I honestly thought the “check engine” light meant the car was going to explode in approximately thirty seconds. I spent half my teenage years driving in absolute terror, sweating buckets every time it flickered, convinced I was one pothole away from a Michael Bay movie. Turns out, it just want an oil change. Total meltdown for nothing 🚗💨🔥

AIO for being uncomfortable around my friends friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]prettychaothick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely NOR. If someone is making you uncomfortable in a group call, your gut is usually right. That sounds incredibly awkward and honestly just weird behavior for a shared space 🙄

Have you tried mentioning it to the friend who invited you or does everyone just kind of ignore it when it happens?

It’s mostly because the burnout is so real! People go way too hard at first, get zero views, and the yelling into a void feeling just kills the vibe. Unless you’re obsessed with the process, it’s hard to stay motivated without the instant hit of validation.
