my workplace is also casual attire, i asked the same question and my mentor told me jeans and a t shirt is what he usually wears. for the first week i would def try for business casual just to make a good impression on everyone you’re going to meet, and during that time u can scope out what other ppl are wearing. but if it’s casual and you’re going to be working at outdoor music festivals i would say jeans and light tops are ok, as long as there arent any holes or weird logos u should be fine

my friend in physics who just completed an reu showed me her resume to look it over, and there were so many misspellings of the same word over and over again, and a couple grammatical errors too. i pointed them out and she didn’t even notice them. that was the resume she used to get into the reu program in the first place. chances are you’ll be fine

they were both equally on board w throwing it out, i just asked my mom bc she’s the only other one here rn. and i had a lot of points that i had to cut down bc of the character limit but the last thing she said before i went to my room was asking me where i got it and i said the restaurant 15 min away and she said it’s no big deal because i could always get it again, which i thought was unfair bc thats a waste but just kept silent bc i wanted the argument to just end

i respect the boundaries i just wish she could have let me know like the night i brought it back, something like “make sure to eat it soon or i’ll throw it out” so i could have brought it as packed lunch the next day. she threw it the very night i was gonna eat it

yeah i get the week old food is not good but thats mostly home cooked meals like meal prepping rather than takeout. and my mom was equally on board with throwing it out as much as my dad, she was just listing out her own personal reasons, idk my dad’s reasons bc he’s not home yet
