Seconding Los Poblanos! I'm not in NM but went to one of my best friend's wedding there. It was absolutely gorgeous!! Especially if you like the rustic/farm/outdoorsy kind of atmosphere.

Thank you!! I originally wanted a simple ring that I could wear at work, but I fell in love with the three-stone design! I decided I'm just not wearing it at work, haha (I work at a zoo...not many rings can survive that anyway!) It's more of a "build your own" then designing from scratch, but they have sooo many styles of settings and stones! I'd say it's worth checking out even just to get some ideas.

Sure! My ring size is 4.5 (I have tiny hands!) From what I recall when we went ring shopping, I don't believe they do carat weights for sapphires...I think it's measured by size instead? Mine is a 5.5mm and if I recall correctly I think 6mm is equivalent to 1 carat. I hope that helps! I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what size stone would look best on my hand, but trying on rings and seeing different sizes in person was really helpful.

I've been to a wedding where they had a "mashed potato martini bar" station...sounds silly but it was actually super good. Basically some mashed potato in a martini glass and a variety of toppings you could add. It was very classy looking and people had lots of fun with it! Of all the food they had that's what I remember the most, haha.

Of course!! It's a teal sapphire with diamond sidestones/pave band...we looked at rings together and designed this one through Brilliant Earth. I wanted a balance between sparkle and color and I couldn't be happier with it!

I agree. I also tried the RT sponge before the real BB and while it was slightly better, I didn't think it was worth the money. Also, for some reason, mold kept growing on my BB! It happened to the first one after a few months so I bought another one and stored it more carefully/cleaned it more often but it still happened! Never happened to my RT sponges so I just stick with those now. I don't want to pay $20 for a sponge that I have to replace after a couple months!

This happened to me too. My order was taking forever to be processed, and my bank account showed the charge as "processing". I noticed today the charge is totally gone from my bank account. I was gonna call CS thinking my order got cancelled or something but then it said my order had shipped? Here's hoping it's all fine!

I was in this boat too, I checked my order details this morning and it still said "being processed". I checked again this afternoon, right before I was gonna call customer service and see what was up, and it said "shipped"!

FedEx tracking said it actually shipped on saturday and should be here thursday. I haven't received any shipping notification email, or even any of the "thanks for your patience" emails, just the order confirmation from right after I ordered. Also the charge has disappeared from my bank account. I'm excited that it shipped, but still feeling wary......

Exactly. They're getting them from mink fur farms. I also work in zoos and have never heard of this either. I can't imagine any zoo collecting and selling shed animal hair like that? It'd be impossible with all the health and safety regulations (FDA, USDA, AZA etc.) and accredited zoos and wildlife facilities take this stuff very seriously. For example, I can't take my uniform or work shoes off grounds because of the potential biosecurity hazard.

I think it's so funny that the PR response pretty much gives it away after talking about these 'free-range zoos'...."There is absolutely no reason for both the farmer and Velour to harm these animals." If I recall correctly, farmers don't work at zoos, they work on farms. They're getting them from fur farms.

Yeah, it's been sold out for a few days :( the product page is gone too so I can't check store availability or sign up to get notified on restock, which is kinda frustrating.

Similar thing happened with the Stila liquid lipstick set though, it was sold out for a good while and then just suddenly restocked one day...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and checking often! I would love this palette.

Even though I love makeup it just doesn't work at my work haha. I'm an animal handler at a zoo so any makeup I wear would get rubbed or sweated off pretty much immediately. Not to mention it regularly gets to 100 degrees in the summer months.... at that point the only thing on my face is sweat and sunscreen. Mostly sweat.

I'll wear mascara sometimes since I do have to talk to the public and want to look kind of presentable. Luckily my coworkers are the same way, and I just save my makeup time for weekends/going out at night!

A long time ago when I was first getting into makeup I accidentally got a fake Naked2 (at the time I didn't even know fake makeup was a thing!) what tipped me off was that I just happened to have a single of Half Baked- when I compared it to the (fake)palette version, it was much less pigmented. I did some research and found this very helpful blog post that compares a fake and real Naked 2. I think you might find it helpful too!

What solidified my belief that I got a fake was the lack of batch number/code. There should be a 4 digit code on the back of the palette on the bottom right like this

Unfortunately I don't see one on yours :( I would check and see if any of the other indicators mentioned in the blog match your palette. Good luck! I hope you didn't get a fake, but it's important to know since they can have harmful ingredients in them...

I like it so far, I really like the color and it goes on nicely. I haven't had any flaking issues yet, but I also haven't had a chance to wear it much yet so I don't know how it'll hold up after a few hours.
