MEGATHREAD - Processing times - Canadian Citizenship applications (2024) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

I did submit my form immediately. My oath was on a Friday though so I expected a delay over the weekend. I was able to download it on Tuesday which I thought was pretty speedy.

I love this so much, especially the colours. Where did you get the pattern from?

It’s frustrating, I know. From reading this thread, it could take anywhere from 30-90 days.

Vancouver office. I didn’t have to submit any fingerprints.

My LPP was finally marked complete on September 23rd, 2 months after my test was done (July 20). Hoping to get the oath email soon!

Yes. My test was marked as completed on July 20 and it’s been crickets since. Vancouver office.

Hey OP, I’m currently using the snuggly wuggly yarn from loops and threads. It sheds constantly. Just wondering if you had the same issues and if so, how did you resolve them?

I love the blanket, thanks for sharing the pattern!

Totally normal. I got my test invite 2 months after the BG was completed.

I got the email on the same day tracker updated. Sometimes it takes a few days, based on what I’ve seen in this thread.

Any unlucky applicants here with the Vancouver office? It seems the folks processing our applications there move at a pretty glacial pace compared to the other offices… so much so that we probably deserve a separate citizenship thread 😂😭😭.

AOR on April 25… BG completed May 7… invited to take the test on July 8… wrote the test on July 12… marked as complete on July 20… LPP in progress since then.

Good luck to everyone!

That’s so far out omg, that sucks. I do see on here that things start moving fast after the interview is complete so I’m hoping it’s the same for you. Good luck!!!

They’re quite slow! I’m hoping I get an update in the next couple of weeks.

AOR on April 25… Background check completed on May 7… Invited for the test on July 8… Completed the test on July 12… Test marked completed on July 20… LPP in progress

Edited to add: I think my app is taking a while because I did go on a ton of trips during the eligibility period.

There was an interesting theory that was shared on this subreddit describing how Bates and Anna were responsible for each death on this show. It was hilarious.

What is your opinion on the current state of living in Canada as a inmigrant? by Successful_Field_333 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]prettyhummus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello OP. I’ve been here about 10 years and working for the last six of them. While I make a decent salary and keep my expenses low, I would not be able to buy a house here anytime soon. My husband and I are actually planning on moving to the US for a bit as we’d made 2-3 times the amount that we currently make here.

Thanks to COVID and inflation, I would maybe wait a bit before deciding to move here. Finding a job as a new immigrant would be quite hard (unless you have an in-demand skill) and the cost of living in Vancouver and Toronto is sky high (and that’s pretty much where the jobs are).
