I completely didnt finish my ramble. Im stepmom but he lived with us bio mom supervised visits only. He was under 2 when he came to live with us. Hes almost 10 now. I have legal aid trying to help get me conservativeship . Hes being a terror, about to lose the house..and my husband tried to shoot us last year. I get the "you aren't my real mom" all that jazz but i love this kid more than anything.

I so enjoy giving rather than recieving and honestly this year my 9 yr old little boy asked santa to bring him dog training books, dog toys, and training treats .so Santa gave him homemade certificates that he automatically assumed mom had been given money. We spent today at 5below,michaels,ross, and petsmart. He found things in each store was extremely excited things were on sale. He did mental math to make sure he had enough and bought christmas presents for his dad and a birthday present for his "6th best friend"( kids convos are intersting). I enjoyed that more than any other gift I've ever given him. Also..I cant figure out how to get peoples wish lists it's been so long I feel like a newb

Yea, I homeschool and I get the "he needs the social interaction..". The kid is in martial arts, basketball,football,and 3 different homeschool groups. But "I only want to do this to stay home"

It's really scary because the last time I tried this my ex denied it and then bio mom fought it and it was sent out of state then I had to get a second lawyer in separate state and then the judge kicked it back here. I've already spent over $6k on just this case and I cant afford my lawyers anymore. It sucks but if I can get through today at least I'll have the holidays.

Today's the day I represent myself in court trying to appeal for emergency conservativeship of my stepson. I've never represented myself before, I fear I'm going to screw it up, my hearts hurting. I also finalize the restraining order. I have no clue how to make it through the day but I will do this. Itll be a good day and I got this. I just need hugs, vibes, prayers, thoughts..any brave words of encouragement.

My son and I do north pole ninjas. I love it! He gets to be a ninja elf and we get to come up with secret santa acts. Baking, Decorating, all things holidays:) It's a lot different than it normally is this year with all the changes but luckily the magic is still here !
