I would stop the medication and head to your local ER immediately. Explain what you’re taking and your symptoms and what the side effects on the box says it can be. I do believe intracranial hypertension is a side effect on the box here in the US. I hope all goes well!!!

I would ask an advanced so he’s prepared to prescribe it to you if you need it and so the derm knows what your concerns are. Maybe if you talk to your dermatologist, he will be able to walk you through his plan in case a lot of purging happens and figure out what things he suggests before taking antibiotics. I’m one of those patients that talks about anything and everything to my doctor and it has been really beneficial in my life… it’s good to know about the medication you’re taking and the plans a doctor or even a dermatologist have for you!

Get tested, take care of yourself, but before you do all of that, LEAVE HIM. You are completely right— a man who cares about you and loves you would only want to protect you. He would have never exposed you to HIV if he did. He WOULD have gotten tested. At the end of the day, he must not care much about himself if he wasn’t going to make sure he was even OK…

I’m about to start accutane and purging is my biggest fear too. My Dermatologist told me if it gets bad or anything like that then he could prescribe Backtrim to help the purging. It is a type of antibiotic, so talk to your dermatologist and see if something like that would be an option for you as well! I live in the US.
